Few games i saw Torres played, found out he is not selfish, he's a team player and not a glory seeker player.

well, not the best performance but it was a decent away european result for us. it will give us a driving seat heading into the 2nd leg. you gotta give credit to RDM. he changed the team a little bit, took a gamble and yeah, it paid off...

He afraid of failure to score a goal. Thats why he keep assisting. Just my opinion. However, its good for the team! Keep assisting, and let the other players score |

This season torres hasnt scored much but assisted quite a lot...but im sure his assist in this match is one of the most crucial in this season so far. Credits hv got to be given to him.

Despite not having many chances last night, the lads were pretty alright at the back, although I thought Meireles and Mikel could have done better. Ramires and Luiz had quite a good game, especially Ramires with his bursting run! Too bad there's a few misses from him.
Despite not scoring, Torres played a good game as well and can see that he's full of energy, the way he pressed each player when not having possesion and how he setup the goal for Kalou. If they played like that next week, I'm sure we can get through to the next round, either facing Barca or Milan, that will just be something we will have to see in the coming game. |

Hope Mata and Ramires gets some rest for this weekend. Go play direct style or anything, but I fear Mata and Ramires will become overworked soon.
I think a lot people overlooked effeciency of Ferreira, he so old already, but still perform much more solid than Bosingwa. Although he didnt support attack much. Hopefully Bosingwa can improve so that he can become a world class RB. |

Mata look burned out. His decision making, composure, passing & ball control been poor for the last two-three matches. He should really being given a decent rest. We need him fresh for the next critical fixtures.

QUOTE If i was Roman, i would keep Di Matteo for longer. He is using everyone which is useful as Chelsea can use some of the Talent that AVB didnt bother using. DI MATTEO!! Some random comments at eurosport website |

i think RDM made all the right decisions with his selection today. say what u will, but this is exactly the way to perform when you're playing away from home in europe. no complaints on the mikel + raul combo either, both of them stuck to their jobs efficiently and the former had a really solid game again. even gary neville noticed his huge contribution in keeping aimar quiet up to the point he had to be SUBSTITUTED and i'm glad he's back in the team. good defensive midfielders are so under-appreciated nowadays as no club would ever bid big money for them.
terry and luiz were close to perfect. i think terry let cardozo in behind him only once, while luiz read all their attacking plays like a book! ferreira came in and once again proved his value as a squad player, and ashley was energetic down that left although he didn't join in the attack that often. the torres and kalou combo was a good choice, demonstrated by nando's superb cross which kalou should've converted in the second half, as well as the pinpoint delivery for the ivorian's tap in. u have to give credit to both of their work rates, i don't think either of them stopped running for the duration that they were on the pitch. which brings me to our next pocket dynamo in the form of ramires. set nando away for the spaniard to lay it on a plate for kalou, and looked back to his lung-busting best. however he still needs to work on that final ball of his. mata (again) seems to have lost his way in midfield and was surprised RDM didn't take him off. the amount of passes he misplaced was..disappointing to put it lightly. his early to mid-season form though, means he's essential to our starting 11 and i think RDM is thinking along the same lines as he's one of those players capable of pulling off that little bit of magic to unlock defenses. slightly unhappy we failed to get a second goal, as two or three brilliant counterattacks which had their defence outnumbered were ruined by overhit/misplaced passes. midfield players were all guilty here. still a good performance, and should give us some confidence in facing villa this weekend. |

Lukaku will probably feature in these few weeks epl matches...rdm probably wont let him play in our crucial uefa cl and fa cup fixtures.. i believe rdm will do a good job in rotating the squad and at the same time keeping everyone happy..
About Romeu, really hvnt seen him in a while...i rmb that our win % is higher when he played, no ? |
