I got a few sets to show later. But currently I am waiting my shipment from US via vPOST.

Anyone bought LEGO using vPOST before?

Never tried direct post from US. It's going to be tax, not sure how much. Which set you bought, and how much was the courier fee?

I just got my sets from US.

The courier fee is crazy. It was more expensive the sets itself. LEGO used a damn big box to pack my items...

Anyway, there wasn't any tax at all. hmmm

yaphong, your courier more expensive than your set? You should have bought the largest set... tongue.gif

For Mindstorm NXT2, try check at those large toy'r'us store in KL, try ask the supervisor there. Last time I check, they keep NXT 1 inside a glass cabinet (Mid Valley branch)

8285 and 8275 is 2006 and 2007 model if not mistaken. I think you can't find it anymore in store, your best option is ebay. I think 8258 still available on shelf, last year model, IIRC.

I think the excavator is 2008/09 model. If you look around, maybe (just maybe) there are still leftover.

Heya Aurora, thank you very much for the details. I think I have some hunting to do, over the weekend tongue.gif

On a side note, to the owners and lego fans of #8421, Mobile Crane. May I know what was the RRP when it first introduced in Malaysia back in couple of years ago? I was just wondering what would be the price vs specs as compared to #8258? smile.gif

Hi conquerorX, for lego hunting, try KLCC Isetan, Times Square/The Garden Brickboytoys, Midvalley/KLCC toyrus. I think these are among the largest lego store available. Brickboytoys also open another branch somewhere else, can't remember where cause I haven't visit there yet. tongue.gif

IIRC, 8421 costed RM 899. It comes with 1800+ pcs, 8 wheels, 2 pneumatics actuator, 1 battery pack and 1 motor. It was the best of Lego crane ever produced.

8275 cost RM 834, comes with about 1300+ pcs, 2 XL motors and 2 regular motors, 2 IR receiver, 1 controller/transmitter, 1 battery pack. Again, best lego bulldozer (probably the best power function set), and the first set that introduce power function.

8258, not sure how much it cost, has about 1800+ pcs, has 1 XL motor, 1 switch, 1 battery pack. I think the best part is that, it use only 1 motor to control several movement (4 different movement I think). So it has a very well engineered gearbox that can switch between these function.

Yeah. Lego was too generous with their box. I could have easily add into another 10 battlepacks and still cost the same.

Anyway, anyone wanna join me at my next purchase?

My next purchase? When I have enough money for next purchase that's it haha

I buy directly from The Lego Group.

Lego Shop

Make sure you are in the United States region. I believe it is cheapest among all.
