LEGO used to be my favourite toy when I was little. Its so sad that my huge lifetime collection of it is gone due to flood. sad.gif

I saw this train set on the shelf, couldn't resist so I picked it up and brought it home.
Although I prefer the older train sets with metal tracks but this one is neat. With another motor, can build a fully functional RC car using the power function included.

I used to have a big lego collection which I gather since I was 4years old. Unfortunately, my family's house undergone a terrible flood several years back. Almost all of the legos were missing during the cleanup sad.gif . Its either stolen or thrown away by accident. too many items in the house, hard to keep track. and I wasn't there when the flood happend.

I thought about giving up from lego for good. Several years after the incident, I bought one set just for fun to share with my younger brother. After that, I started to want to collect lego again.

Within the past two month, I bought the 7938 train, 7743 police command centre, 7937 train station, 8402 city house, 7848 toys'r'us shop with truck, 7235 police motorcycle, and some pieces from bricklink including train tracks. thumbup.gif

Straight conducting rail for 12V train track

Is anyone here familiar with the old 12V lego train?
I'm wondering if the centre conducting rail of the 12V track can be placed on the new RC tracks?
I'm thinking of running the RC train without batteries (on the train itself) by using the track contact of the 12V train and connecting it to the power function battery box of the RC train. Also use an after market DC adapter to connect to the conducting rail.

The track is different la. I think wider.

I'm pretty sure the width is the same.

Here's a picture of the conducting rail on the 12V track:

I'm only interested in the conducting rail.

sorry for the bad image quality.

This is a temporary test setup. I plan to make a layout with proper roads when I move to a new house soon.
There are still more pieces coming in.

Nice!  rclxms.gif Bro, how do you keep the dust off?
Thanks,
Ray

I simply just leave it there on the floor for now. When I move to a new house (soon), I will decide a way. Most likely covering with transparent hard plastic or glass if it doesn't cost much.

Looking for lego building plate with 48x48 stub (15"x15").
Any idea where to get and how much.

Standard price is rm50. Brickbastion and Brickboy had it, but last time I checked (about 2 weeks ago), it was out of stock.
