Is there a problem with cleaning the disk brake?
*
They re just joking ...never put grease ...lube your disc brake ...recipe for disaster ...

Most chain lube would do ....Finish Line, Morgan Blue, Muck Off...some people say WD40 can use ....
Some people say not advisable ...cause WD40 can cause the chain to rust ...

Go to any bike shop then ask ...

Aaron Gwin applies lightweight industrial grade grease on his rear rotor. Unless you don't mind 2nd-3rd spots. Else grease them all the way to victory..

You willing to spend more if you're really into it? At least good bikes (with good components) are much easier to sell (at not so much price reduction) if you think you're 'hangat2 taik ayam'...

Night ride?
Night ride is really a friend friend business thingy...
When free go... when not free... call off.
All have their own personal lives to handle. Hence, it is kinda difficult to fix a day and time kinda thing.

And most of those who replied here already retired. He! He! He!

RM1k bike is still ok for beginners.
Just choose the color you like.
All are the same. Even if it is Trek or Yeti or Diamondback or what not.

I would, if I could fully utilize better bikes

as of now I'd probably just cycle around the neighbourhood n to football field etc

bicycle used to be my main transport n I would cycle some 10km to get to a place n I really enjoyed riding with my old cheapo montana back then m would like to recapture that feeling without breaking the bank, yet tongue.gif

yes, at 1k budget...any bike will do.. disc or without disc not much different since u are cycling around taman only.
choose the one look best to ur eye. wont know what brand... i believe a plenty out there.

over here are mainly kaki on mountain biking (the offroad biking activities).
if doing off road mountain biking... get a decent 2-3k bike for beginner. 1k bike will only make u hate it and waste money. those bike are not meant for serious offroad...they may look like a mountain bike...but it is meant for taman ride.

u need to ask what do you mean by decent.. decent to cycle around your neighborhood? any bike will do.

if u try to get one for mountain biking... boy, save more money and buy later... if not u just gonna waste money now. people not gonna keep repeating the same advice over and over. read page one.

either u listen or learn the hard way. wink.gif
