Would suggest you to go FRIM for a few ride first. Ride the trails there. Then have a dip at Dream Trail. Once you're ok with that, then go to Kiara.

For starters, you might be put off by the amount of MTB (mari tolak basikal) scenarios when you first ride Kiara.

Just my two cents.

Everybody's sit bone is different. You could go to Specialized Store and get it measured. Then buy accordingly.

Most people find Fizik GOBI to be comfy, you might not.

Try with a harder rigid fork, go down Steroid Hill at 15 km/h or more. Go try. Please. Let me know how it feels after that.

Interesting idea... rclxms.gif
Agreed that it's the washboard effects that gets to you after a while.

QUOTE(localist @ Oct 2 2012, 10:06 AM)
Rebound adjustment is so that the fork doesn't spring back towards you like a pogo stick after compression. I'm not sure how that relates to hand numbness. Numb here meaning no feeling due to lack of bloodflow due to constant pressure applied to the same area for long time.

No la, I wasn't suggesting moving hands around *during* a technical descend. He said his hands were numb *after* a 45km ride. Not after a particular downhill section ma.
*
If one were to crank up the rebound setting, the fork will pack up on each successive bumps. The fork will be operating in a higher spring rate than it should be. Higher spring rate means more arm fatigue as it wouldn't be able to absorb trail chatter much.

Ride this and galenti no hand numb/arm pump

Honestly, the price you pay for a set of sea sucker can get you a decent bike rack.
Moreover the demo looks secure and rugged. However when you drive you can't stop every 20KM to check if the pressure has dropped?
Keep inside but when the bike is dirty after all the ride, the bike is damn dirty.

The car's exterior needs to be clean for the seasucker to be effective.

I put my bike inside the car when I go ride. Just put a piece of tarpaulin or PVC and lay the bike over. Can go shopping after ride also, no need worry bike + rack missing after that.

Custom frame?  hmm.gif
Get good welder, show design, ask him or her to build.

I'm looking for this:
Halo XL Hex Key Skewer Set

Any idea where to get in Malaysia other than ordering through CRC?
I find QR not tight enough for my usage.
*
If your current QR slips, I don't think these bolt on will help. Try Shimano QRs. They bind tighter. If you're slipping on your horizontal dropouts, get a chain tugger. Most bike shops have chain tuggers. My fren's using a pair together with QR, no slip.

Nice frame!

The 456 geo is dialed thumbup.gif

But personally I'd get a custom build Ti frame if I'm going that route.

I actually notice the opposite from you guys. My friend's been snapping his Shimano chains. After he uses KMC, no more problem.

456c might not be so agile in the sense that the HTA is slacker than a XC race frame and BB height might be on the lower side of things? Know a guy who's happy with a 100mm fork riding around Kiara. The frame is light for what it's able to do at 1.5kg. But do note of the extra long toptube. for a size 16", it's 600mm!
