With other modems, what dbm you normally get? Did you try different placement? Just wondering n

-99dbm seems like the signal I got in my backside room the other day.

most probably your multisim is not compatible for your device. multi sim is a very sensitive sim card, more sensitive than normal sim, and normally not all device can work notworthy.gif

try to use eraser to rub the gold chip on the sim, make sure the gold chip is clean and try it again notworthy.gif

Gmobile ~ One of the Modem supplier to Umobile

This guy is good, Trust me. And warranty is from TenTen Malaysia. The modem comes with MCMC/SKMM approval stickers and TenTen(M) stickers.

For once, i beg to differ, if you have tried E372 in your PJ's residence, you can say this.
I strongly believe if E353 gets you 11Mbps in PJ, E372 will get you atleast 18~20Mbps, ie; if your area is Dual Channel enabled. wanna bet ?
You are in the telco line, you can ask your ppl abt Dual Channel Technology.

Come on, i am not stupid to invest on a rm450 modem for nuts, i already own more than 30 modems (currently) in my stable of modems, and why i still buy this one and only DC Modem to test it out ? icon_idea.gif

Sorry if i offended anyone, but i believe its my duty to inform those uninformed. smile.gif

Added on May 7, 2012, 8:53 amIts drizzling in my area now. Connection is poor, so is the signal, I am getting RSSI of -95dBm, as when its sunny i can get RSSI of abt -75dBm ( the lower -xxdBm, the stronger the signal)

modems do really make a difference, E372 = Dual Channel and UMG1831 = Single Channel

i am currently contemplating on this, but it does not have local warranty, too bad , and it cost abt rm5xx.00 to bring it in sweat.gif

Now I think you got my point wrong.

If all this while you are getting 1-2 Mbps, do you think it is going to make a lot of difference on E372? Like suddenly goes up to 10Mbps? Come on.

And, I'm not stupid either.

4xxkb/s is not max speed. sweat.gif
3.6Mbps you should expect to see around 3.6Mbps.
But if it is direct download, you should expect around 400kBps. smile.gif
1Byte = 8 bits. smile.gif

Were is your location?

If you use a E372, 12Mbps will be the minimum there, PM me your location and i will go there to test, if that location is in my way.
