What about Carroll? He's improving. Ditch Downing, go for Bellamy & Maxi on the flanks, Suarez as the shadow striker spearhead by Carroll. Its gonna be a bruising game, so we have presence in Carroll.

Downing was man of the match in the Carling Cup final. Carroll needs his crosses.

Carroll's mobility is a suspect.. He kept falling down under minimal pressure.. I actually rate Kuyt higher than Carroll.. One good game doesn't mask the entire bad season.. I won't ditch Downing.. He is quick, can dribble, has great mobility.. That's why I prefer him than Kuyt, but I don't mind Kuyt to start instead of Downing.. For me, Downing crosses have been great, its just Carroll is not mobile enough to make full use of it.. If both Downing and Max play, they can release Bellamy (or Kuyt) upfront..

Some facts taken from the official website.

Liverpool have met Everton in the FA Cup more times than any other team. The Merseyside giants have played in 16 ties with the Reds coming out on top nine times.

Liverpool have won every time Andy Carroll has scored for the Reds - he has found the net in eight games.

Steven Gerrard is one goal away from recording 150 for the club in all competitions. His last goals were the hat-trick he scored against Everton a month ago.

My view,
it is cup game and one off, who is on form, who look playing well recently, who look like can score, who should be playing.

Suarez prefer to partner Carroll:

QUOTE
Meanwhile, Suarez believes manager Kenny Dalglish should select he and £35 million strike partner Andy Carroll to play up front in their semi-final clash against their Merseyside rivals.

"The manager has not decided on the team yet but I believe if I do play alongside Andy Carroll we will generate a lot of danger," he said. "We haven't functioned 100 per cent together this season but now is the moment to change the situation.

This formation is super. No Spearing and Henderson in starting line-up, with them around, our offense is blunt as a hammer.

Coates had been doing considerably well whenever he's on field. With Agger's mobility, ball-control, game-reading, I'm wondering if KD should try pushing him to the DM role while partnering Skrtel-Coates in the absence of Lucas.

This formation is quite attacking minded. I don't know, it should be very good.

By the way, here's some interesting twist to the whole "Sack them".

Apparently, from around the tweets and the circles, the discussion goes like this.

1. Why the 4 got the sack.

1. GK Coach: he's been a long-timer, and there's a dip in Reina's performances in this season (he's promoted from Academy after Xavi Valero left, and after Roy Hodson pulled his GK coach together with him out of Anfield), so despite his promotion, he couldn't prove himself worthy.

2. Peter Bruckner: He's basically the head of science, and his role involves more than just "repairing" damages and injuries. For a job well done for Steven Gerrard (who he rehabilitated), he's got few problems with KD. According to some (I'm not privy, but I'm just saying; they don't meet eye to eye). His job also includes 'physical damage prevention' (basically keeping the players fit enough to withstand the rigours of footballing career, as well as decreasing the potential injuries. Players like Agger, Aurelio, G.Johnson should have a reduced risk of recurring injuries or getting injured again and again (this was on his claim that many sports team does not take this into importance, and his job in liverpool f.c is to make sure that this is reduced significantly). Its like he's blowing hot air, or so they say.

3. The lawyer. Is it because legally we always lose? (Cases submitted to the FA)?

4. D.C.. This one is still an enigma.

I want shelvey to play but he is not a defensive midfielder so i think henderson or spearing will play ahead of him.
I think it's better shelvey be a sub because he played full 90minutes while running a 10-man team against blackburn.
