I don't really find it *FUNNIEST EVER QUOTE* Pathetic !! Not all but quite a fair few. What now? I thought Comolli leaving was good news? Pressure on Kenny for whoever he signs now. Can't help but wonder if FSG have any intentions of sacking him? I mean with so few games left and the FA Cup semi-final so near, it would have made little sense to release him now. I reckon he'll need a result tomorrow and in our remaining games to ensure he'll be given another year. Come on Kenny, if there is anyone I want to see take us back to the top, it's you. What a story that would be.

Hoping the hotel has the right channel else, I'll be wandering off to the nearest mamak. I love the Merseyside derby. So much passion. What a fiery encounter it will be given the stakes. Two fiery Scotsmen go toe to toe. William Wallace comes to mind. No red cards lads. Jay, can you hear me Jay?

Touchwood, let's hope it'll be 11 vs 11 with us winning fair and square. Any idea who'll be the refree tomorrow? It's an important question nowadays..

I'm not sure why these staffs are fired on Friday 13th, but judging from previous posts, seems that its got to do with performance valuation of every department. I personally think its a good move. It may be risky to announce this while the season is nearing its end, but probably the reason being that the owner has got a short term plan in store for Liverpool. I too agree that KD should stick for another season. Like players, managers too will improve over time.

Webb is a mixed bag. Sometimes he does really well, other times not so much. But he does have good authority on the pitch that is required in any derby.

As a liverpool supporter, I still don't think KD has the pedigree to guide us to EPL and Champions League success. He's a good man manager and motivator but he's definately not tactically astute. He also lacks the attention to details than some one like Rafa has. On the other hand Rafa is too stone cold with stats ignoring the people side of football.
All in all Mourinho is still the best coach. An equal balance of disipline, man motivator and tactical genius. But a close second would be Fabio Capello and i will lobby him as the next manager of Liverpool

An equal balance of disipline, man motivator and tactical genius. But a close second would be Fabio Capello and i will lobby him as the next manager of Liverpool I actually thought that Rafa overthought the game. He was so detailed, that players often looked like chess pieces and were somewhat restrained. I prefer a much more expansive style of play where players are given more freedom, not that it doesn't come without it's cons. Kenny is not as tactically astute which is why Sammy Lee was asked to leave and Steve Clarke signed in his place. Sammy was the perfect man to compliment the cold, steely figure of Rafa but he's too similar to Kenny. Clarke is the perfect foil for the King. You mention Mourinho and I agree, but that's possibly another reason we signed Clarke, who enjoyed much success with Mourinho at Chelsea. Not a big fan of Mourinho's tactics myself. Find his tactics somewhat negative, however effective. I like playing the ball wide, especially since we have the likes of Johnson and Enrique storming forward from the back, but Mourinho likes playing through the middle. At least this is what I saw during his time at Chelsea.

Let's just wait and see who replaces Comolli first. The DOF role is quite crucial for us at the moment. Someone like Comolli is a lot more passive than say someone like Cruyff or Van Gaal. Not saying we will be getting either of them, just that different individuals have different opinions about the future of this club.

Cruyff and van Gaal coming together? Cruyff for DoF and van Gaal to be permanent manager in the summer with KD overseeing old roles at the club?

QUOTE(Petre @ Apr 13 2012, 03:22 PM) cruyff and van gaal sworn enemies? Yeah pretty much. Cruyff just recently won an injunction to block the appointment of Van Gaal as CEO for Ajax. This post has been edited by hfi: Apr 13 2012, 03:26 PM
