I still think rear air-cond is useful. In situation when rear passengers want cold air but front passengers do not. That's why some C-segments have it eg. Jetta, 308, a nice to have luxury. In the extreme case eg. Grand Picasso, all 3 passenger + driver have their own individual temperature and blower control. They call it 4-zone climate control.
*
yeah...it is good to have rear aircon
its a good add-ons
but if they didn't offer..its fine as well cuz the aircon they used are different than others

perhaps proton may come out one (FL preve or D segment car) with rear aircon + ionizer
*
rear aircon can be easily done
they done it with exora but that was by adding another compressor
the ionizer...dn't think so....not so sure sanden aircon got ionizer or not
but those ionizer can be purchased cheaply anywhere
and i dn't think they're gonna change brand as well..they use sanden for a reason..its good and durable

you mean can buy and add-on by self?
is this sharp car ionizer good?

user posted image

this is one of them
but this is consider expensive
theres is 1 as cheap as RM30..small2 one but the only downside is no on/off switch
ionizer's job is to eliminate bad odour only...so no need to on all the time

it does look like a shaver hahaha.
sharp one look like a japanese "rubber torch light"

i curious and google, groupon selling medklinn for 276

also some website says ionizer doesn't work?
if those using water to filter or charcoal? does it work better than "glue" dust and bacteria on the device?
*
charcoal is the CHEAPEST way to do it...it works the same way
but its kind of a mess
pandan leaf as well
ionizer work
how to test if it work...2 way, 1 is to use some device to test the presence of ion(i forgot what name)
another way is to put some food/stuff with strong odour into the car...thn on the ionizer
if the smell kinda dissapear..it works...mine works

*
thats not a bulb i think
its a sticker with "ok" on it
when ppl check the part and it passes...they will put a sticker on it
later u get your car, u will see alot of this "ok" stickers on the parts that they've checked

from what i see with the previous white, they're following VW's style of "tapping" the important part

also if have photochromic rear view mirror would be nicer.
leather seat plus leather for the door trim would also be nicer
If wait for SE, that would be next year probably right?

dont mind they priced it at 80k, with more stuff.

the premium has tinted windows, any tech spec on the tint film?
*
those tint are just basic tint...kampung said its security tint
but even if its security tint, its going to be a very basic one as well cuz they have to comply with JPJ
and workmanship is going to be down the drain
so i recommend dn't include it, we install it ourselves outside

yup...same 1.6 but no turbo
but need to see how much elantra weight 1st and preve's weight to see the power to weight ratio to determine underpower or not

QUOTE(dares @ Mar 31 2012, 05:29 PM)
Also bear in mind, other than being lighter than the Preve, Elantra's 1.6 Gamma MPI engine also outperforms the Campro 1.6 IAFM+

Gamma MPI - 128hp @ 6000 RPM, 157Nm @ 4,300 RPM
Campro IAFM+ - 108hp @ 5750 RPM, 150Nm @ 4,000 RPM

where as

Campro CPS - 125hp @ 6500 RPM, 150Nm @ 4500 RPM

So yeah, the IAFM+ variant will probably be pretty underpowered.
*
but 1 uses 6 speed and 1 uses CVT
it will be underpower but it won't feel underpower due to CVT's smoothness
but the 6 "actual" gear...u will feel underpower

That remains to be seen.

And why the heck does Proton's 1.6 Campro has so low hp compared to other 1.6 engines??  vmad.gif  vmad.gif
*
outdated engine is like that
those korean engine are way newer
thats why campro need a replacement which will come 2015

QUOTE(stargate8 @ Mar 31 2012, 06:10 PM)
preve CFE only output 138hp (103kw)
so does it consider as average output?

the elantra 1.8, i was quite impress with it. was thinking of topping up to get it.
coz my colleagues say "proton ah? why not get vios? why not get import car?"

edit: 1.8 elantra output 201hp...
*
the CFE focus mostly on torque(pickup)..not HP(top speed)
pickup fast is more important than going higher top speed...how fast can u go actually when the road is full of corners/turns
plus..top speed on exora already proven can go 200KM/H ++
topping up for elantra?...thats quite a BIG topup isn't it?
and ask your colleague..whats go great abt vios?....4AT?...great FC?..pretty much thats it...no improvement whatsoever in many years
and it cost 91k for that vios somemore
ask him to drive the preve and say again

Elantra or This? But Elantra has a better look.
*
2 very different price range
elantra has the looks, preve has the specs
go test drive and decide, many said elantra is underpower
preve doesnt have this prob since got turbo

cool water repellent seats cover, fabric more durable than leather right?
*
not sure abt durability
but i prefer water repellent seat rather than leather
not sure why ppl prefer leather
its slippery, it absorbs heats, it has to be taken care of
even my friend sit in leather seats and dislike it

and it needs constant car
i personally dn't like it
prefer normal fabric....so this water repellent fabric should be great

In a car that opt for leather seat covers I might agree there's slide effect.

But fortunately most cars I've driven, its leather seats is body-hugging and so far haven't experience much roll even during cornering.
*
proton handling so good, no need to fear sliding if u install leather
