i believe most of malaysian player can play outside malaysia bar the top league or league with higher standard. they can easily fit in indonesian league, singapore league, brunei league (if this exist) and others SEA league.
What about Kelantan striker Mat Yo? My fren said he's one of the best especially his turning. I never watch him play but since my fren always follow our Super League, I think he is good enough.
Don't think any Malaysians are actually good enough.
While Safee Sali is easily one of the best I've seen, football is just not about size, pace, strength or built.
Alot of being successful in it is having the technique, tactically sound and most importantly, football intelligence.
Actually plenty of them are good enough to play overseas. Especially Harimau Muda batch and their ex players. They have undergoes systematic and rigorous training outside of the country. Maybe at SEA or Asian league level or small European league. J League and EPL i think are a bit far fetch.
The thing is not whether they are good enough to play abroad , its whether they want to play abroad...Firstly you must have the desire to play abroad and if there is a will there is way, you will improve yourself to get there..

The only ones playing overseas at the moment is probably Titus James in Ligue 2 or something and Brendan Gan in Australia's A-League.
Maybe to get to the J-League or Korean League is still possible but IMO, not in the top European Leagues (England, Spain, Italy, Netherlands and Germany).
Like I said .. it's alot more about football intelligence rather than pace, size and built.
But because the standard of football in our country is pretty much poor, not many people see it as a career. We'd just rather go on studying and work.
