Don't think any Malaysians are actually good enough.
While Safee Sali is easily one of the best I've seen, football is just not about size, pace, strength or built.
Alot of being successful in it is having the technique, tactically sound and most importantly, football intelligence.

QUOTE(Angel of Deth @ Mar 11 2012, 03:19 PM) Actually plenty of them are good enough to play overseas. Especially Harimau Muda batch and their ex players. They have undergoes systematic and rigorous training outside of the country. Maybe at SEA or Asian league level or small European league. J League and EPL i think are a bit far fetch. The only ones playing overseas at the moment is probably Titus James in Ligue 2 or something and Brendan Gan in Australia's A-League. Maybe to get to the J-League or Korean League is still possible but IMO, not in the top European Leagues (England, Spain, Italy, Netherlands and Germany). Like I said .. it's alot more about football intelligence rather than pace, size and built. But because the standard of football in our country is pretty much poor, not many people see it as a career. We'd just rather go on studying and work.

If anyone wants a Malaysian who is good enough ...Shaun Maloney is your man xD Born in Sarawak, so technically is Malaysian, but plays for Wigan and Scotland.

QUOTE(kucingmainan @ Mar 12 2012, 07:35 AM) what arressandro mean is s.maloney is a scottish. malaysian can't have two nationality. correct me if i'm wrong. Yeap, I know what he meant but considering he was born in Malaysia, so he could have been Malaysian but I guess for footballing reasons, he would rather much prefer to be Scottish.

QUOTE(aressandro10 @ Mar 12 2012, 08:04 PM) then they are Malaysian and not French. Shaun Maloney is obviously Scottish as Gan is Australian. Until they are ready to relinquish that status, there are no use of speaking as if they are Malaysian. nationality decision goes way beyond football.... QUOTE(nanamiwashio @ Mar 12 2012, 08:16 PM) exactly, which sometimes i dissapointed with my fellow malaysian who branded FAM as stupid for not calling up brendan gan. Fair enough but shouldn't Malaysia at least be able to call Brendan Gan since he has Malaysian parents? He could of choose to represent Malaysia (due to his parents' nationality) or Australia? Unless of course his parents are Australians themselves...
