QUOTE(0204 @ Mar 13 2012, 03:57 PM) i use waze when i want information such as traffic condition.. but it does not provide some of the more detail direction like sygic did with the detail lane by lane guide in the mini window.. so when i'm really looking for a place i use back sygic.. when i'm on casual travel and wanna hav updates of traffic cam, road condition, traffic condition i use waze so how do u rate google maps in terms of credibility ?Added on March 13, 2012, 4:06 pmI dont have vehicle so I dont travel much...i need free navigation only... Added on March 13, 2012, 4:54 pmI use to control all processes's use of internet speed using netlimiter. is there any similar apps for the android where we can restrict the speed of application. Eg 5kbps for radio 10kbps for youtube. This post has been edited by gurpreetsingh: Mar 13 2012, 04:54 PM |

QUOTE(djlah @ Mar 14 2012, 01:16 PM) I'm wonder your dad's so called ex-supplier, big distributor or whatever; so fast they have S3 demo unit to show your dad? he is just trolling. No body has to beg so many times for anything. Either he gets or does not. Simple.plus it looks like buying a smartfone is the only discussion going at his home - earlier gnex vs s2 and now gnex and s3....so lets just cut the rope and discussion only gnex related stuff. Whether can buy or not lets use PM for it. |

guys since gnex is my first smartfone i m little confused how the apps work on background.
Eg. if I reboot my phone and my 3g is on. Do I need to open yahoo/gmail/viber apps to get the updates? and what if I slide them through task? then also can get? also if I keep them open on tasks do they consume more battery? |

QUOTE(droid13579 @ Mar 14 2012, 02:54 PM) yes they consume more battery as you enable 3G. Plus those apps need internet access also require 3G. Hence, it still run on background after you exit the app. Just swipe it after you exit. bro u did not get my query..pls read again I asked about how it works actually. |

QUOTE(Doomsday @ Mar 14 2012, 03:01 PM) You no need open those apps to get updates/push notification. Just let them run on background even your screen is turned off. Thanks bro..Those syncing apps won't hurt your battery so much. My data/wifi/sync everything switched on can averagely last almost 1 day. (of course if I cut down my DRAW SOMETHING game) At least 3 ~ 4% drop down per hour if based on my above usage. run on background means those should be viewable through tasks? my main question is even if it is not showing in tasks the apps could be running? right? or I need to open them in a way that they appear in the task menu |

very nicely written by jpaq. But gnex in 1500 is a suspicious deal. It is a hot selling product and price of 1500 is not plausible. So there is something wrong.Better pay more and get reliable set.

QUOTE(FuNks @ Mar 14 2012, 04:59 PM) There's more internal running apps background that doesn't show in settings. I tried 3Rd app and anti virus. Showed alot other apps running. that means to keep updates coming I need to check every apps? I m not sure if I dont on my viber I can get call or not. same goes with yahoo/gmail/talk. I will test these individually and see how it goes. |

QUOTE(DarkSilver @ Mar 14 2012, 05:05 PM) 1520MHz of mine is running lesser than the voltage needed for 1200MHz... so what are your voltage settings? if you keep them same and it is overclocked then it should produce more heat. You mad? Usually, original voltages set by the manufacturers are overkill or "too much" or not needed at all. So, we can always UV them or OC them. As the processor would be running faster and would be taking less time to execute transactions. |
