Download GPS Test from Android Market(Google Play Store).

Go into your Location services.
There's like 3 options in Location services. Do NOT use Google's location service and Location & Google search.
These 2 options will slow down your GPS performance or caused your GPS to not be stable.
Use only GPS satellites ONLY.

Turn off any WIFI or 3G, etc of your phone 1st.
Now, open up your GPS Test in an OPEN SKY environment(definitely NOT inside your house or room).
Wait for like 30-60 seconds, you should be able to get a LOCK.
If can't turn off GPS and turn it on again as well as your GPS Test, and try again. It should be able to LOCK the satellites now.

AOKP Build 28 and Lean 2.7.0 Exp 7 Kernel.
OCed to 1.52GHz and have Beats Audio integrated! 

LOCK Example:
GPS Test...
Satellites detected = GREY color bars.
LOCKed satellites = Yellow color bars.

If the GPS Test doesn't show any Yellow Color Bars, then, your GPS is not working.

Either way...
GREY = DETECTED
YELLOW = LOCK
If no YELLOW, means GPS FAIL.

ApeX ROM is so old... features also less.
AOKP Build 28 and Milestone 4 ROMs are good.
They've more features, more customization!
Example:
Highly customizable Statusbar, notifications, Navigation Bar, etc.

Anyway, DO NOT USE Nova Launcher, period.
Use Apex Launcher instead. Smoother.

I bought gnex only for 1 things, ICS or future Android update.
developer are easier to adopt to any early newew Android release to build their own custom rom compare with rest of non-nexus phone. vanilla rules.

I know the quality of phone speaker is the top drawback, camera is not the best 1 but I have no regret at all. hardware keeping changing and you need to spend more money to change phone but keep on going software update or rom support in gnex is worth of money spent.
