QUOTE(abundai @ Mar 11 2012, 05:08 PM) what rom and baseband? mine also goes to celcom mostly but at few places it goes to zero...my problem is how the gnex will auto connect to Umobile once I m in coverage area...im on stock yakju 4.0.2.. no issue so far with Umobile radio signal.. if there's no 3G signal, it will auto switch to celcom network very quickly... so far, never had any problem looking for radio signal... try this, maybe it would help...after doing a network search, if u see both Umobiule 3G and 2G, just choose "select automatically"....dont click on the list of available network individually.... I will try your tip.. |

QUOTE(akash3656 @ Mar 11 2012, 08:46 PM) UMobile is a 3G only network. The 2G part of UMobile is Celcom actually. exactly thats why i want my gnex to select U mob whenever available.Basically this option will tell your phone to use 3G (UMobile) whenever possible. Else on Auto your phone may stay to use Celcom 2G as the Celcom 2G signal may be much stronger than UMobile's 3G. (Based on my limited understanding on how UMbolie operates). Added on March 11, 2012, 9:04 pm QUOTE(Harddisk @ Mar 11 2012, 08:44 PM) During my times with CM7 and CM9 (on SGS), yes, it does. i think prefer wcdma can also be done using some number...I forgot which one thoughOften times when I was dropped to Celcom (Edge) during rainy days in area with U mobile (sure about it as I was at area where I am staying). With CM7/CM9, it can always see 3G/H on the same conditions. My concern now is, AOSP doesn't give me H+ in area where H+ is possible with U mobile. I have no idea if CM9 fixes that. QUOTE(djlah @ Mar 12 2012, 09:36 AM) I dont see any reason to do native video call !!The more features we include in the ROM, more heavy it becomes. Since many apps are available for it I guess developers have not think about doing it within the ROM. |
