im on stock yakju 4.0.2.. no issue so far with Umobile radio signal..
if there's no 3G signal, it will auto switch to celcom network very quickly...
so far, never had any problem looking for radio signal...

try this, maybe it would help...after doing a network search, if u see both Umobiule 3G and 2G, just choose "select automatically"....dont click on the list of available network individually....

UMobile is a 3G only network. The 2G part of UMobile is Celcom actually.

Basically this option will tell your phone to use 3G (UMobile) whenever possible. Else on Auto your phone may stay to use Celcom 2G as the Celcom 2G signal may be much stronger than UMobile's 3G. (Based on my limited understanding on how UMbolie operates).

During my times with CM7 and CM9 (on SGS), yes, it does.

Often times when I was dropped to Celcom (Edge) during rainy days in area with U mobile (sure about it as I was at area where I am staying). With CM7/CM9, it can always see 3G/H on the same conditions.

My concern now is, AOSP doesn't give me H+ in area where H+ is possible with U mobile. I have no idea if CM9 fixes that.

yes.
but only happened after I turned on my phone after 24hr.
initially was fine after wet sp is applied. only after 24hr after that. I suspect is the design flaw.
