Hi Guys,

I just bought a 2008 Viva 850. I was looking at the engine bay below the battery and spotted some rust and unpainted area. Picture below.

I also spotted an area on the left side of the engine bay (the other side opposite the battery) where there are some welding area.

Is this normal or worse to me is there a possibility that the car been involved in an accident before?

it might been accident before or the previous owner go repaint the car, as hard to justified by photo. and for the left side, i didnt see any welding area... can u kindly circle it...

P/S : juz saw u mention below battery, it might be the battery acid tht make it rust...

Hi everyone,

I kinda want to buy either used manual Viva or Myvi.

But I seem to read Myvi quite a few common problems: power window switch, air cond compressor, brake disk fade etc. Air cond compressor especially is like ticking time bomb, almost all Myvi owners I know have had to change them, some no more than 5 years old already need to.

But I dunno about Viva, what common issues can I expect? I take it being 3-cylinder, perhaps engine mounting, but any else?

Thanks in advance.

Hi viva owners!

I owned viva elite 2012. Milleage around 35K++.

I noticed recently the fuel consumption quite bad... My trip only clock 76km but 2 bars already gone.

Used this car going to work only with normal traffic (moderate traffic jam)

Is it normal? rclxub.gif

hi mr fazz do you maintain your car service according to service schedule? try to replace spark plug first. If you have extra budget opt for Iridium Plug. It lasts longer than conventional plug

Thanks pizzadox12 for the reply.

Yup.. still maintain as per schedule service with perodua. Might do outside once finish the warranty. I just notice recently the fuel is quite bad. I have done nothing for modification.

Today third bar already dropped but the trip only 110km... sad.gif

Probably something need to change and as your advice is spark plug? I'm not really expert with cars sweat.gif sweat.gif
