Fast laps can be deceiving, let me demonstrate :

Driver A -

Lap 1 - 1.03.841
Lap 2 - 1.00.975
Lap 3 - 1.04.001
Lap 4 - 1.04.125

Driver B -

Lap 1 - 1.01.841
Lap 2 - 1.01.975
Lap 3 - 1.02.001
Lap 4 - 1.01.985

Which driver is the fastest?

imho, the fastest LMP cars is the Audi

Yeah, going to pull out the R8 (Oreca, Playstation, plain-jane)

Last weekend just finish "practise" 381 laps at Sarthe tongue.gif
x 13.629km = 5,192 km sweat.gif

I guess need at least 2x pitstop. For FGT at full-throttle, full-tank can last about 7-9 laps, but even before that, tyre wear out already.

It is normal in GT5 that everybody try to drive like A.Senna but end up become Lewis...

ROFL

Actually just set up a nice race pace... almost podium guarantee...

To win a race in GT5?

35% car
35% skill
30% luck

Believe it or not... tongue.gif

you din realise 1 thing... the time that Evo shown all within 0.3s which mean the driver not even pushing the car, he just drive with his race pace thats why the tyre will still in good shape that Driver A that who struggle with handling... tongue.gif

if its a short race, that is true. But in a longer race, strategy play an important part. You have to be your own race engineer; you should know when to push, when to relax and when to box. First you have to know how well your car perform on the race track. Try doing a 5 continuous laps. Be consistent with each lap. After the fifth lap, take note of the tyre wear and fuel consumption. So for a 20 laps race, just times 4 to estimate the total tyre and fuel usage.

Next, time your pit sequence, from the time you enter the pit lane, the time in the box and exiting the pit lane. If you racing on a track that have long straight and long pit lane, it is disadvantage to you if you pit many time. So the total time in the pits, will shape your pit strategy whether to pit once, twice or none at all.

Then you have to view your competitors, what's their lap times is. Is he quick in the sector that has long straights and slow in sectors that has many corners? This mean his/her car has lower down force, fast in straights but slow in corners. This will also shape your strategy in the race.
