It will always start a new game when switching disc from r3 to r1 and vice versa I think. Even the game data would have to be redownload for separate regions.

Think the DLC can be shared on same ps3 between different region psn though have to reconfirm. With download of family pack or something.

pre- spec II, there was no region lock. So if we have started the game before spec II, the save game wont be affected regardless of the game disc.

So it's region locked now. Good to have it confirmed.

Sadly, my save account pre spec2 has been deleted. Hoping question starter doesn't have the same problem.

Sometimes, GT5 can feel like the most frustrating game ever. Even now it's still an incomplete game riddled with bugs. Too much ambition, too little time.

Still waiting for my a4 touring car in premium.

Yeah, like there's a lot of features but they somehow fail to gel into one complete seamless experience. You have odd things like standard cars, imbalanced experience and credit system and so forth. Just feels very half baked to me, compared to previous GT's.

Ok, for example the logs. Wins in 1 chanpionship only counts as 1 win regardless of the number of races. Mileage record doesn't tally most times. It's little stuff like this that make it annoying. You end up wondering why it's there in the first place.

What I'm saying is, kazu does have a clear vision of how gt5 should be like. But in the end, he ran out of time and we now have all these pieces that don't really fit. There is no overall cohesion to gt5, as there was in all the previous GT's where every race is a continuation of the previous.

In gt5, every race is individual and unrelated to the other, there's no career mode to speak of. Ends up we just do the races to get completion %.

hmm interesting... how can we verify the mileage is correct?

Are we talking bout GT PSP or GT5? GT5 single player mode is the same as original GT only the main difference is the license test is not a prerequisite (mandatory) to enter races.

I guess what I'm saying is there's just a ton of things in GT5 that feels like they were meant for...a more cohesive whole. As in, a proper career mode. Previous GT's had quite a clear A to Z point, whereas GT5 feels like a bunch of races mixed together, with features for god knows what thrown in. There's not much feeling of progression in GT5, just endless grinding whereas for other GT's, you can feel a sense of achievement after graduating from Sunday Cup to Clubman for instance. Hope you know what I mean.

If Kaz wanted a career mode in GT5, he didn't manage to complete it. If he wanted a straight on race game, he got it but why throw in all the pieces that don't belong.

GT5=hofgepodge.

errr... there's progression in GT5 just like in GT1, GT2, GT3 etc etc... don't tell me when you first play GT5, you go straight for the Extreme races series? shocking.gif If you read game reviews on the net, they say the single player mode of GT5 is getting stale, because it is the same as the previous GTs.

In previous GTs, you also have to grind your way to.. wait for it ... achieve 100% completion (which I cant on my GT2 US version because a stupid bug LOL).Isnt 100% completion was the gold of ol' GTs players before trophies/achivements?

all the 'new' pieces was actually old features that Yamauchi wanted to implement, such as the B-spec, which, supposed to debut on GT3 (thats why the release of GT3 is called GT3 A-spec).

EDIT : I think developers cant win, if they maintain status quos, people will say "OMG why no new features... this is getting boring". When they add/change the gameplay, people will say "OMG why u change the gameplay ". LOL

GT5 isn't supposed to be like the GT's before in terms of career mode. It isn't meant to be GT4 HD. Kaz had a much bigger vision for GT5 apparently, evidenced by the pieces that won't make sense in GT5 UNLESS connected by missing features. For now, online is not seamless with offline, a lot of things feels tacked on won't you agree?

On its own as a standalone car simulation, GT5 is superior to everything else. I can't ask for more in those terms. But as a complete package, GT5 lacks in a lot of areas.

In the end, what I'm saying is I wished Kaz has been allowed to complete his vision instead of this "compromise" we call GT5.

Game like GT will never have complete version, GT5 so far is the best in the series, career mode ? It is the same... I play GT-GT5...

If keep delay the game, PD will close up b4 the game complete...

Please focus on main details (driving) instead of fancy details then u will appreciate it more...

This game worth more than RM150... Feel the passion of the developer pls...

if kaz complete his vision there wont be GT6 its not profitable to put all of it in 1 basket n sell em all at once, nowdays developers use DLC to keep updating new features to make sure the game dont go stale. Cashcom for instance con me kaw2 make me buy street fighter 4, 3 bloody times doh.gif , but what to do we r at their mercy all we want is the best possible experience thumbup.gif
