i still don't get it which dlc to get since i didn't know which version of gt5 i own

to Silenced, gratz man. seriously, 3 laps race seems a little too short. i wish it is 3 laps x 2 or a full 5-7 laps.

For me GT2 is still the best

You are right on one thing. There is hardly a feeling so satisfying as driving in cockpit view in the pouring rain through the green hell, at night. However, there is much more to GT than that. It is the history of the automobile, a celebration of these machines.

I wouldn't mind if it was just maybe an online game, where we create our own leagues and rules to replicate real life tournaments actually. In fact, I would much prefer GT to be just the platform, where we are provided the cars and tracks to do as we please.

Instead of the half arsed career mode where it forces you to grind repeatedly with no joy to achieve level 40 or something. A driving RPG? Really? And let's not get started on Bspec.

If you want that, there's PC racing tonnes of options. rFactor, iRacing, GTR. You wont see that kinda freedom on console gaming.

btw, can you share your GT gaming history?

My first GT Proper was the one where you can race modify your cars, GT3 was it? The calsonic skyline, oh how I loved that car.

Sometimes when I play GT I really wished to be immersed completely in it. With actual rules, and everything. A real simulator. Instead, I get robot Jeff Gordon lulz

You are on a wrong platform. Real rules and everything, you have to look at PC racing, especially iRacing, where they laser-scan tracks.

Racing games on console have to cater to casual gamers. Games that too hardcore on console dont sell well. for example Enthusia Racing. I'm sure you never heard of it right?

Another example is the whole seasonal events was ruin when people complaints is to hard to win... hence PD has to tone it down.

No PC. And I still want to believe in kazu's vision. This man brought the joy of automobiles to countless lives.

You have a point about catering to the casuals. That is one of the reasons GT is currently so messed IMO. Instead of figuring out how to separate the 2, GT5 became a mix and match. Compromise, hence a pain to the purists.

BTW, how do you mean tone down the seasonals? The AI is already dumb as it is. My only problem lies in the reward scheme, which rendered all other game modes irrelevant.

when PD introduced seasonal events, the rules were very strict, you have to use certain cars, limited upgrades allowed and sport hard only (i still have the vids on my youtube channel). So you have to tweak the car and not just slap on racing soft. It was a HUGE achievement to won gold at that time. But many people complained that it was too hard, so PD tone down the difficulty (unlimited upgrades and no limit on tyres)

hv to agree on GT2. could play it for days. GT5 kinda boring..easy money, level up is to advance further is meh (i prefer the old style license test to advance...probably PD wants to attract more players by using level up), it's very easy to level up LOL. just grind any A-Spec special event, and 40 seems a small value.

mine is R3..asia, saying English+Chinese version. updated to 2.05 i think.

GT5 cockpit is lifeless having experienced shift n shift2 cockpit. nowadays i'm driving using hood/top cam.

Your disc is r3, you can use DLC from r3 regardless of psn account methinks.

It's too bad most casuals want to go the easy route instead of earning their way. That's probably why I can't even trade cars above 1m ffuuuuuu

but which DLC? i saw, car pack 2, car pack 3, combo car/paint/xxx pack...etc. i sked buy all, then only know the dlc is same2 one

Which car you want? Aventador car pack3, spa track pack 1. This 2 the most worth I think

Nah... GT2 car data and physic not as good as GT5, GT5 more unforgiving which I like... PC I tested in PC Modena before a car that I drive in stock is way too fast compare to actual car... Need to config, blah blah lol. Headache...

Career and AI won't really help, as i observed JYLee driving style is wat PD wish player to archive... Clean steering work, consistent etc...

i wished i can afford triple screen setup for gt5 dem hafta buy 2mo consoles n 3 panels

and two extra copies of gt5

hehehe yeah 4got that, dem the experience in cockpit view is so niceeeeee

Having a bigger screen is more cost effective imho
