Quote from other website:

"Untuk mendapatkan full loan ASB RM400K Mebeng Mereng, mereka yang layak dari Golongan B ni kena keluarkan dulu RM400K dari account ASB (pindah ke ASW2020) dan apply loan Mebeng - sure approve. So kira diorang topup account atas satu nama."

anybody wanna comment?

yes...you can do loan asb up to 400k PROVIDED that your current limit already achieved 400k.How to check your current limit?u can go to asnb, maybank, rhb, or cimb to check....

if your limit is 400k, then you can apply to any bank which offer asb loan...after approved, you have to take out the 400k(u can enjoy this money...haha) for bank to buy the 400k asb certificate...

as for me, i would prefer to put 50k max each into my kids asb account before i explore other investment asset class..if my limit is 400k...but unfortunately, still long way to go to unlock the 400k unit...

thanks bro. I will look into it. This is a new thing to me. I always thought RM250K max only.huhu

guys i just called PNB. Apparently not that easy to get RM400K asb loan. The staff said must be those who started investing since 1980s and have accumulated RM400K in asb account. Fresh money RM400k also cannot. damn!!!!

this has nothing to do with whether u start investing around 80s. The limit of ASB has always been 200K, the limit for an individual can only increase through the years by reinvesting the dividends, after u have reached 200K, u are no longer allowed to put in fresh funds ,but PNB allow the dividend to be re-invested and accumulate throughout the years & automatically increasing your ASB limit.

As per current interest rate, you would need to have 200K invested in ASB around 9 years back to achieve 400K limit. Hope that clarifies everything.

Oic. 9 years hmmm. Anyway i plan to put in all my cash in asn/asw and take rm200k in asb loan. I think that us the best for me now while waiting for 9 years. Alamak lamanya.

Foolc,

Whether Indian or Chinese, they still be able to buy units if any existing unit holders sell off their unit for such redemption, AS1M fund is a newest fund and compare with other funds, this fund have better chance to top up extra units, but for opening such account, it is not easy.
*
As1m should have quota still. I just opened as1m and put everything i have from asb into it while getting more asb loan. smile.gif other ASs (hehe) under "harga tetap", pnb said finished quota. "Harga berubah" like asn still got

Guys, just wanna ask one thing. I dont understand. I put all that i have in asb into as1m. And i didnt get any dividend (ya lor, put one day how can get dividend). But i only put rm16k in asn, how come suddenly became rm18.5k? Kalau tahu i did the other way around. I put everything in as1m coz i thought harga tetap is more safe than harga berubah? As1m dividend also was higher than asn. Anybody care to explain?

dividend for asn was calculated based on your unit upon dividend declaration...even you put 1 day, you will get the full dividend....for fixed price, its different...if you want the full dividend, you have to invest for 1 whole year
*
Oic. So for the 1st year, asn will get dividend straight away? If so, maybe i should put more in asn now, right?

for fixed price PNB fund, dividen is calculated based on the minimum balance of the month...

eg 1
jan...no investment
feb 1 invest 1k...
maintain the balance until 31dec...

thus, dividen for asb=1k*dividen rate*11/12

however, let say you put 1k at 1st day of the month and you withdraw all at 31st day of the month, you will not entitle the dividend for the month as your minimum balance is rm0
*
Titanic taikor, i wanna ask on asn, if i can get dividend straight away, meaning for this cycle i will get x2 dividend as compared to asb right? Asb i will only get next year by end of cycle, right?

wait, if you invest now, the next dividend will be declared only in Dec 2013... which only once a year...

is it declared twice?

normally i invest during nov for asn...coz no point invest now coz not entitled for dividend...and of course, the NAV will determine my buy/sales...if the priceis 0.70cents today, i would love to invest now...hahaha...
*
If dec 2013 declare 1 more time than this cycle i will get twice lor. I am a newbie to ASs. Just now i put so much in as1m and it was the exact amount i put in but i put little only in asn but get extra rm2500 already. I thought got error. Huhu. First time open asn, so i dunno. Huhu

You have read it wrongly, i believe, ASN is express in units, not RM. 1 unit in ASN is not the same with RM1, the prices change, so you have to check the price before and after the dividend to get the correct RM worth.
*
YES. I was about to post that. yeah, my fault. sorry guys. LOL

Fookeesan,
At the moment, all fund under Pemodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) is not taxable nor it will be taxed, it is exempted from taxes.

Yes. For those who are seeking property rental at ROI 4-5%, amanah saham is a better deal. No tax, higher return. However, if got capital appreciation on the property while getting rental at part to amanah saham or higher after deducting tax, expenses etc (very hard to find this), then only it is worth to consider.
