QUOTE(cheahcw2003 @ Apr 14 2013, 10:54 PM) the max 200K limit wont be revised. Pnb only allow the top up dividend, u cant put in fresh money once u have reached the max. Yeah, betul kenot put fresh money. Just wondering if they increase the limit after yearly dividend time or every month they will pro rate the limit increment. I guess it is based on yearly. Not monthly then. Anyway i tried to nego with them to go higher limit. Cannot. Haha. Have to live with it i guess This post has been edited by AMINT: Apr 14 2013, 11:52 PM

QUOTE(adolph @ Apr 27 2013, 02:12 AM) Smartinvestor01, Yes, that's correct. The reason for establishment Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad, a wholly owned subsidiary of Yayasan Pelaburan Bumiputra is to created the awareness and the level of competence for bumiputra about investing for future. It aims is to help bumiputra from the governments and expand the bumiputra knowledge in mutual funds, not other races. that's the fact. Since ASB introduce ASB-loan, the assets from the PNB grew much fastest, it contains more than 100 billion fixed funds for ASB, a normal average 18 year old with employee contribution $88 Employee Provident Fund (EPF) can easily bought $50,000 ASB-loan. so, you can't expect much. It continue with AHB, FELDA, Tabung Haji, Persatuan Bank Malaysia, Bank Rakyat and etc since it getting famous locally, lot of my friend whose patiently waiting for the next level of fixed funds for chinese but unfortunately been few years, never happened. As a results, they invest in property and cover the liabilities with amortization, and rental income, waiting appreciation. thus, still making money faster rather than putting in a peggy banks, mostly they were bankers and salesman. I invest in both. I can say property investment brings me more ROI by miles as compared to ASB. It is not such a big thing imho.

QUOTE(hyzam1212 @ May 7 2013, 09:56 AM) u mean REITS, physical investments or overseas properties? Care to share how u got more ROI if u are not targeting capital appreciation? now PNB will stick as it is and the big menara will outclass KLCC heh Physical properties and I target capital appreciation + rental, mind you. I am vested in landed rather than high rise. Rental my be bullshit but i am more interested in capital appreciation. Rental is just to chip in.

QUOTE(cheahcw2003 @ Jun 20 2013, 09:09 AM) Dividend is based on monthly rest thus calculate based on the lowest balance of each month. Thanks bro. Appreciate it very much. Typo there from me. It is supposed to be as1m, not asb

Just wanna ask. If one goes for max asb loan, lets say rm200k. Then next year, the dividend will be included in the total amount. So technically ur limit in asb also increase higher than rm200k right? Just curious

QUOTE(backspace66 @ Jun 30 2013, 11:33 AM) yeah, for sure, the limit can only be increase due to the re-invested dividens, but once the limit increase, even after u take out the money, the limit increase is permanent and won't revert back to the original limit If that is true, it is really a no brainer to get max asb loan and invest the rest in as1m. Short term and long term surely be a winner as compared to those who masuk every month bit by bit. Leverage is the key

No issue i believe. U put ur asb loan as ur commitment but also dont forget to put ur income from dividend as well when u fill in the form for housing loan.

QUOTE(500Kmission @ Jul 7 2013, 01:30 AM) after i have discussed with bank officer, we believe the quota allocation is not the main thing that currently still available. the main reason is ASG NAV will change from time to time (i.e. no capital guarantee as ASM & ASB). After i have done the analysis, the highest fluctuation has reached to 39%. Thus, If i invest in highest NAV plus average 6% for 5 years, I will still lose 9% on capital. This high risk investment with only average 6% return, they left to non-bumi, they keep ASB for bumi. I dont understand.. every year i got almost 9.8% on asb. How can i lose money? Can u please explain more. So far every year got untung for asb.
