ASN unitholders get 6.3 sen
The payout is the highest for the past 12 years since 2001 and jumps 25 sen per unit higher than the 6.05 sen per unit income distribution last year. In a statement today, PNB chairman Tun Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid said: “The payment would benefit 1.23mil unit holders, who hold 1.46mil units of ASN.” It will involve RM92.18mil of total payout, which is 3% higher than last year's RM89.5mil. “This performance is beyond our expectation despite unstable market condition that influenced by the European sovereign debt crisis that resulted in economic slowdown in developed countries,” Sarji said. |

QUOTE(adolph @ Jan 3 2013, 04:13 PM) Fixed units which mean, when you purchase 10,000 units at the price $1.00 each, the total payment will be $10,000 for your 10,000 units investment value. This type of fixed units won't change in future, let say, you sold out after 5 year, you still can redeem your $10,000 plus the dividend without losing any single cent as long it is backed by the company itself. good explanation None fixed unit prices, which mean it NAV (Net Asset Value) will change each days, let say today price per unit is 1.3278 per units with sales charge 5% impose, you buy with $10, 000 and with the calculation as follow, Sales Charge 5% $10,000 / 1.07 = $9345.79 So, how many units you bought with your $10,000, $9345.79 / 1.3278 per units = 7038.55 units total you purchase The reason i put 5% sales charge is because ASNB charge with that rate, except use your EPF which will be much lower such as 3% while fixed funds is 0% except yearly management fees. Conclusion, $10,000 for fixed units will gain you 10,000 units, while non-fixed units will depend on daily fluctuation price. With this daily fluctuation rate, you will be expose to earn more or lose. most people I know don't want to invest in asn, asn2, asn3 & asg because the price movement. If price below rm1 very2 profit |

QUOTE(todak @ Feb 28 2013, 03:15 PM) Hi folks, Put some in your 2 kids & open new as1m for you Last month I transfered 20k into my asb using maybank2u as per usual and 3 days later got the amount tt back into my acc. After some research I found this thread and figured I must be near the 200k asb limit. So now I need a new place to park my excess cash. Should I open up 2 asb remaja under my 2 kids name or open a new acc under as1m or asw2020? |

QUOTE(jetmanxx @ Mar 9 2013, 04:56 PM) Quick question: I want to invest in AB through Maybank. I will use salaray dedcution every month. from the statement above, I could conclude that: What if suddenly I need money and want to get some cash from the ASB? possible? is it very liquid? 1. you open asb at maybank branch 2. you will use salary deduction to invest asb monthly. About the withdrawal of asb money, you could do it at asnb office, pos malaysia, maybank, cimb & rhb branch. any working day, if can before 4pm (for agent -mbb,cimb, rhb, pos) Best to withdraw after div announce 2nd Jan every year |
