the biggest city is juz medium city of Sim City 4 this is bcoz they wan low end pc able to play/support this game.
for me, this is the biggest turn off. how can you call this a sandbox if its smaller than sim city 4?

lol. Juz bcoz they wan the graphic to be top notch, hence limiting the size of the playground. prefer so-so graphic but great gameplay.

WTF is this I'm hearing about always-online DRM, a limited map size and no terrain editor? What next? Lockout from mods so EA could order crappy EPs?

Seems like EA is trying to kill the series altogether and shut down Maxis.

Regarding EA on not reporting game bug resulting EA wide ban regulation this was taken from their Facebook page:

This kinda pissing me a bit. If you have low end pc, you can play with smaller map. If you got high end pc.... you can only play with small map too

Online DRM? F*** off. Not going to play although I kinda miss this building game.

graphic look great but i'm worried if it's just another sim societies

The best bet is Anno 2070. That games does city building incredibly well, while there are some minor RTS element. And Ubisoft backed off from always online DRM, mostly.

Anno is more to rts than a city building game. Does not satisfy sim city fans. The city building is not in depth, too simple.

I did not get the damn Sim City 5 beta, quite disappointed. Was eager to take a look.
