no special water needed although some do use RO water, mostly are tap water treated with anti-chlorine, why so clear the water? then aquarium water filters is the key beside the ever needed beneficial bacteria that help clear up the toxin and breakdown waste. Maintenance is essential though we
never take photo of those cos it never be an attractive part unless it done by a bikini clad model.

Media is special housing made for beneficial bacteria to stay and multiple , actually those bacteria can grow anywhere , soil, sand , glass etc but
we need special place to accumulate as much of them as possible that why bio-media is develop for this purpose , normally we house those media
in the filters himself, it come it many shape and materials, you walkin a local fish shop , goto the shelf you will notice lot of different brand and different shape and materials of filter media.
Google keyword aquarium filter media , you will learn/know more.

That 2080 beast is 1700L/H , 300L tank no sweat(almost 6x your tank capacity). But i didn't take note of the price, if i not mistaken price before discount is around RM1.2K to 1.4k++

Try nilufar pet & aquatic in tesco jln kuchai lama. Lot of stone there, price ok , actually they almost the same among the lfs , different maybe just few ringgit per kilo.
Ryu stone aka ADA stone is the most expensive among all those type of stones. Price range rm12 to 18 per kilo.

LuQEE, the terra tank now going for RM20, twenty each.... Ya dua puluh saja.

wow... nice must be the 2L substrate pro at rm162.. the guy at counter must have overworked. Instead of half-price he take out the numeric 2.

Be there yest. around 2pm , by the time , all good stuff gone , all Ehiem HOB sold out on sat, even the two Teco chiller gone.
But at usual last day got awesome offer , got 2 terra tank for RM20 each (n.price is RM174.90 each) got light ,internel filter & reptile fountain.
RM20 for the light only also worth it. Thought of buying 5 but what the heck i gonna do with it, maybe resell at RM60 each, can 'untung' RM40,
The first day got one LFS come and brought the only big size terra tank and load of filters especially sponge filters , it look like the owner
from Irene aquarium(maybe i'm wrong).
Anyway i grab one box of 5L eheim lav substrate , may gonna use it to laid at bottom of soil to keep more bacteria like ADA power sand.
But he didn't charge me RM13, but half price like calvin_ng enjoy.
Also grab 2 tube of Ocean free terra sand at rm3 each. (n.price rm16.50)
This kind of warehouse need to go early on the first day & last day.

Did you guys/gals find the assassin snails emit stink smell like rotted stuff? yest i clean up my 40cm tank, dig out 10 assassin snails from the substrate,
notice the stink coming from them but they are alive not dead.

anyone can guide me on terra tank setup , what plant to use and where to get , what soil or sand to use?, i want it setup for my vampire crab.

The smell is like rotten dead stuff. My palm got the smell after i holding them. Small driftwood also got the smell. But after wash, smell is gone.

cos i resetting the tank to hold Sulawesi shrimps. Those substrate are just sand with coral stone.

kind of , but still need to monitor the PH cos no soil to buffer, too much coral PH shoot to the roof.
My tap water ph running crazy, last month ph7.6, now ph6.4 out of tap.
Anyone know which moss can withstand ph8 ? , my java moss grow like stunted.

100L tank, filter capacity should at least x5 or x6 of tank capacity = 600L/H power filter, Eheim 2215 match it, but you need to take into consideration if any inline CO2 diffuser or chiller is used, those will cut back the filter flow rate esp chiller.

wow .. go to aquarium during working hours ..salute some more boss tag along.
They won't sell you the warehouse stuff now cos it very hard to reflect in the their account.
