SAE like to chase other fish.why ar?poor my cute fishes.huhu. i think i wanna find some fish that can chase him and make him sorry for his doing.huhu.i want him to sh*t brix for a moment.huhu.

I dont know about flying fox because i never keep them (for what? .. LOL). but SAE, they actually not harassing or chasing ur other fishes. SAE is territorial once they're adult...

but also, SAE is another type of fish that DOES schools (but not like rasboras or tetras). they need company in the tank with their same species at least more than 5 in a 2ft tank. if they already in a group since juvenile, they wont be so agressive or territorial when they're adult. they'll be together with their groups at night and do their cleaning stuff during the day and ignore other fishes since they have their own species to school with.

this applies to otto as well sometimes. they basically feel lonely and trying to mingle together with other fishes...  not harassing them actually.

so, dont be stingy with SAE. 1-2 SAE in a tank doesnt help much plus things like above might happens. just campak 8+ more SAE and everything will be fine.. ur tank and ur fishes.

The nearest fish shop I know of is (below); does all the fish shops provide a wide range of plants? Usually the plants I saw are those cheap rm1.50 plants. I think I have to get a listing of the plants available before attempting to buy one, as to suit my personal liking.

update :- almost 2 weeks passed.... i still cannot see any hydra in my tank...previous occupants of the tank (prior bombing with zentel) still survive, so i think this method successful...to certain extent....

I used the particular activated carbon also called bio ring from LFS. The ring is white in color but before i install the bio ring they already have this symptom and after i install it they look worst. What should i do to get them recover? Will WC help in this case?

I notice only my yamato have this symptom only. My tetra and RCS look fine

today i did a marathon east aqua studio at mid valley from 11am until 1pm. then went to 88 pets mart at sunwaymas for about 2 hours. then finally to NA at ss19. ended up with 1 potassium and 1 trace from seachem. too bad no java moss to sell at both outlets...

was really nice to see different setups. the DW at 88 petsmart were super high prices... *sweat* but their layout and store is much more neater + lots of rocks for your scaping use. lots of saltwater fish n tank setup as well.

NA got many different types of gravel and a HUGE square tank right in front of the shop.

how lucky are the planters living nearby these 2 shops!

Hi, I need some advise.
Can someone teach me how to prime a caister filter?
I'm using Taiyo 1200.

I filled up the canister with water, and locked the motor head on. The motor is running but it's not sucking water from the tank into the canister.

After reading so many online "how to prime a canister filter" questions, I realized that the in and out valves were closed..
I thought it was for locking the pipes... =_=
The canister filter is working perfectly now.

By the way, does anyone know where I can get clear polycarbonate pipes? Planing to make a few rain bars.

beerbottle and luqee... u guys really can be good frens... i think you can use those canister then add on with the shrimp cage like the ones that ciohbu is selling. its fixed at the inlet to the pump (out from the tank) so that small debris or shrimps will not get into the canister pump. thats the safest bet.

with those fishes... i don't think you guys wanna do planted tank with them right? i think they will redesign your layout totally....

Omg, is it hard to maintain it... especially when cleaning the tank, removing the water.. setting up the tank.  I plan to setup a 2ft tank but am very worried of the consequences. Probably your room is huge

Hello, anyone knows where can i send me hailea chiller hc-150a for maintenance?

My chiller thermostat is having some problem i think, now the temperature will be very fast to increase. Let say now my chiller temperature is 27C, then it will become 28C in less than 3 minutes.
