the problem is, the coleman icebox will not give a continuous temp dropping. let say, the ice become water.not cold anymore. you may take time to replace the ice. i afraid the temp swing will affect the faunas.huhu. than the maintenance too high lor. metal tubing, that is conductor of heating transfer is titanium, aluminum and copper. the most cheap is copper. aluminum, too expensive.huhu. this is just my point of view.huhuhu. i hope you not mad with me.huhu

somethings are just not meant for DIY

not to pour cold water, but its really too difficult to DIY chiller. DIY fan to cool the aquarium is ok, but to DIY a chiller is really too big project to justify its costs.

the water temp may increase once the water flow thru the water pump before reaching the tank. unless u put the water pump,but then again the water pump will generate heat in the box. 

guys... forget about diy chiller... look what i had just achieved with my DIY fan... i will let my picture tell the rest of my story...

which reminds me of something with the chiller... last time i tried to clean a fridge because the back of the fridge is full of ice. i use screw driver and try to break away all the ice but accidently made a hole in the wall of the fridge. then... pssttt.... gas come out, fridge no cold adi... lol... dun think can make hole on the fridge bro...

khaki & yuzu? khaki can be obtain on cameron highland. while fro yuzu, i get it from my friends who works at japan. good for spa too 

not all mini puffer are brackish water inhabitant.  if we said MINI puffer. yeah a lot of this species requires brackish water. the one im keep in all tanks which is known as INDIAN DWARF MINI PUFFER, arent' brackish type.  only.. the big puffer i had in my tank it is.. er.. not brackish water anymore. but salt water  

thanks to usermode back then at 2009 thread. he mention about a-weird-bengkok-fin fish.and since then, i start to do some further research on how to keep this tank in my community tank. now 2012. so i can say, several mini puffer can be force to  stay in community tank without killing other fish and invertebrate by using separeted method.

just separated them after their mommy give them birth. try it. you can put a shrimp together with them. but not shrimp fries. and top above that. this force method is suitable if you want to keep your mini puffer from nipping other fish tail.

not so hard to keep them. unless don't super force them to puff. or you'll regret to keep them in community tank
