one thing i learned from buying on aliexpress is there is no such thing as last day smile.gif. prices go up and down to show that there are "discounts". just gotta wait for when they have those "discounts" which is like every few days. I bought 4 rolls one go with fedex shipping afew weeks ago, price goes down to about RM60 a roll.

This is the guy i bought from the last time, http://www.aliexpress.com/item/purple-colo...1213594189.html

price seems like ~1+ usd diff from the seller you posted.

I think can make a trilogy biggrin.gif

eehtsitna the i3 is a good safe choice for a first printer, lots of documentation and support and big community, parts are easy to source, many tutorials on tuning/tweaking/upgrading.
My first was an i3 DIY kit, and now i'm building my 2nd i3 sourcing my own parts/electronics/print head.

Yes the frame itself is sturdy, 6-8mm acrylic but it will still crack.

and thread lock is something that prevents screws from coming loose.

I've bought a laser cutter and my prusa i3 from china, tax is a hit and miss, got taxed for laser cutter, no tax for pursa i3, higher chance for tax is u use fedex/dhl or those couriers as compared to ems/gdex/cheetah. Friend bought a same i3, used dhl and got taxed. its about 10%

I've been printing ABS for almost a month, finishing my first roll, so far the smell isnt that notifiable and i literally sit like arms length from my printer.

well did test with blue painter tape, it will loose it stickiness when heated biggrin.gif

The 3M stuff? Try the ACE brand painters tape (white color), i've had very good success with it.

You probably got used to the smell, same goes for PLA. I missed the sweet caramel like smell of PLA. You will notice it again if you stop printing for a few weeks.
*
Yeah possibly, sometimes there is a wiff of melted plastic, but goes away after afew mins.

Oh incase anyone is planning to print ABS, if you need to make ABS Juice/glue, thinner works well in the event you cant get your hands on acetone.

I just noticed a small problem with my printer, i tried printing a large square and noticed that the square isnt true. The layers all line up properly. I measured with an 90 degree L ruler and there is a small gap. I checked my X & Y belts for slop and they are fine. Any idea what else i can check for?

Hi, KLKS
Would it be the frame of X-axis and Y-axis not square itself that we always don't have the proper tool to align while assembly?
Just curious too.

Got the problem corrected 98%, the Y bed was unequal, right side was off by 2-4mm, after correcting it, prints seem more square.
