I have posted this somewhere, maybe not in this thread....
But i did successfully booked via Amex and get 6% refund.

Email trails quoted as proof...If you requires more proof, i could post my amex statement smile.gif

This is the steps i made.
1. Booked room via Amex
2. Contact Support at their website with provided booking ID (dont mention pay by Amex)
3. Wait for email reply from CS
4. Get refund.

shud have done it on weekends, my fren case using amex, they process it on weekends, so he got 5% on top of 5x TP

i did it with visa on both weekends and weekday quite recently too, and they process it on same day too

Well actually its not all my fault entirely... I was just trying to check the TOTAL PRICE for 3 days...but it went processed right after i keyin all info, without final confirmation..
Futhermore then i saw got another room type that is better (king size bed) for just extra RM5/day..

My real intention was to get them cancel my booking (full refund) and i will book again the better room.

Nope. Statement balance is up until the last statement date, if u paid full then outstanding balance will not be charged interest.
If u didnt pay full then outstanding will also be charged together as daily interest

Actually wrong....

It should be 500 + (RM40 x 2).... The tax shown are per day..

And i believe the 6% rebate are manually refund, not auto.

Well im not sure worth or not....But if u have read my earlier posts, i did accidentally purchased (actually just wanted to check the price) using Amex on weekday.

I dont see the discount, so i emailed them to enquire and they manually refund back the 6% to my card.

And in my case, i dont see the discount shown coz once i entered all the card details and press next, it already process and successfully booked.
Maybe its because i was using Amex thats why dont see the discount...But however i cant figure out how Agoda going to give 6% coz i doubt they have (or given) the ability to filter out Maybank card number range.

depends on how u think i guess..

visa/master 6% is discount before tax and so forth if i'm not mistaken...

while amex is on full amount, but u just get 5% CASH rebate, while 2.5% comes in the form of TP...

and u need to use the agoda maybank portal, pay using ur visa or mastercard..

when u proceed to pay, it will show u the discount directly...

DON'T PROCEED, IF U DUN SEE THE DISCOUNT AFTER U KEY IN UR CC DETAILS.

yes...

this is only for master/visa, so ur case of amex shud not get 6% discount (though i know u got it after u email them and bla bla bla, shame on the CS to not know that, good for you though)

and u must access the maybank agoda portal http://www.agoda.com/maybank

how they detect it, is based on ur credit card number...the 16 digits credit card number got meaning...

something like..
1st 4 digit indicates what card, amex/visa/master
2nd 4 digit indicates what bank...

Your calculations are wrong. By paying cash u already lose 1000 x 5xTP.
If u want to maximise ur earning then get another card like HSBC also has.cash back. Or other cards

U can always walk in to Maxis center during weekend..

You dont have to pay only after you get your bill..
There are atleast 4 weekends making atleast 8 days in a month there should be atleast once u would have been very near a Maxis Centre right? Just walk in and pay some amount...

eg like u should know average monthly bill is around RM120 so just go pay RM120 or RM200 if u want.... Then next time go pay again...

As long as u paid some amount, if there are still unpaid atleast it wont be over the limit and they wont barred your number.
Futhermore u will receive SMS notice atleast 24 hours b4 they barred ur number. Just call them and ask them to extend the period until weekend for u to make payment.. I did it b4.

Sure can.. But in order to balance transfer, first u must have the card so if u do not have any then u have to apply it 1st.
