Did u called? What they advised u?

Agoda transactions are different with normal transactions..
Sometimes although its shown "successful" charge but actually Agoda still have to wait for confirmation/verification from bank. That might be why its only charged on Monday.

And for that reason also, sometimes hotels doesnt get your reservation when u try to check-in...

Further checking only knows the reason, the hotel personnel show me their "Agoda merchant" member website.

As long the shop accepts installment for Maybank, then all cards issued can be used. Except for Amex that only some special places got installment.

Dont mistaken Amex card with American Express card. Its totally 2 different thing, but almost same.

American Express themself does issues their own cards and the cards/accounts belongs to American Express (with Trojan Head logo)..

Whereas Amex cards are just special service provided by individual bank, and as a cardholder you only liaise with the bank itself and the bank will go back to American Express..
Imagine all your transactions done are only going to the individual bank and American Express are totally transparent, they only deal with bank to collect their interest fees..
You -> buy things -> bank (maybank) -> pay merchant, then bank (maybank) -> pay interest to American Express.

For American Express card.
You -> buy things -> American Express -> pay merchant.
