U gave wrong info.

Black = Hard with linear feel(same as red but harder)
*
Opps my bad. I forgotten it is non-tactile. Should be Blue and Brown. Amended

Hardness comparison based on actuation force: Black is 60g, Red is 45g.

is apex raw good enough for gaming? or should i get a mechanical kb?
*
been using it for a week+ ... still not that used to the large size yet, still can typo cry.gif

all i play are rpgs, mmo, and the occasional 3rd person shooters, it gets the job done.

still, i found myself not using any of the macros at the top of the F keys.

might consider selling it off to get a slightly normal sized keyboard.

this. got a logitech keyboard myself with all the cool macro functions... but used it maybe for a month before I went back and did everything myself... to use a keyboard with macro keys function itself needs determination lol

Just for the record,

the sensei mlg which I bought around chinese new year,

has started peeling, even when I took really good and meticulous care of it.

Will post a picture later today, only hoping for the best(peeling won't escalate), but not expecting much.

Exact date of purchase : 5th February 2013

Date of peeling : 3rd April 2013

Quite
Coating is thin for sensei. That's why its so easy to peel

Indeed it is.

Was betting on the mlg edition, since it boast a slight difference in colour compared to the standard sensei.

Turns out it was a bad bet.

On the flip side, putting the peeling issue aside. Performance of the mice is very much enjoyable.

Yup, all metal coating by Steelseries are rather thin, best bet would be those rubber based one. At least it won't peel. Sensei Fnatic is rubber based rolleyes.gif

Just a random comment on the siberia v1 i bought back in 2008/09. Up till today, the headset is still looking good. 1 bad side of it is the mic is kinda annoying. Other than that, almost 4-5 years of using it. Serving me well. Oh, with the USB sound card as well. brows.gif

its your typical membrane keyboard feel really. but the low profile makes it easier to type, if that makes any sense lol.

its pretty silent tho. which is one of the things i like the most bout it. and its sexy minimalistic style.

i turned some of the macro keys into media keys for easier volume control and play control, and some for opening popular programs in windows that i use. but in games, i have yet to found any usage for them.

if u like low profile and what to sell apex to get another keyboard, how about trying to get cherry mx board 2.0 or the newer 3.0. The 2.0 is around RM190 for a mechanical keyboard is cheap.

Or you could always opt for 6gv2 or 7G.
