Wrong, you will get Auto-Activated anytime after 7 Days Auto-Activation. This is the new rules which running since 5 Months ago.....

I can check for u....is your line is activated or not.

Yes, it's true. You get DSL light blinking in any ppl house phone that didn't apply for streamyx. DSL light blinking means no Streamyx Signal. DSL light stable means got Streamyx Signal. No DSL light at all means either the station doing the jumpering not fixing it properly or port problem or line problem.

So, it's TMNet duty to fix that kind of problems.

It's not your phone line problem.

Mika, your info about the blinking light is wrong. I have checked with the Aztech technical people and they told me the modem won't have any blinking signal if connected to a line that has not applied for streamyx.

You mean it is normal when I connrect the modem (Aztech DSL600EU) to the line and not blinking. But I read the manual it said the blinking mean searching for the signal. Quite confusing...

How is your streamyx now?? Is there any advantage to register thru reseller/agent? any free gift/rebate? It is so sad when i check the Holiday package do not entitle for RM50 rebate.

That's what the Aztech support guy told me. If you connect to ordinary phone line (no streamyx application yet) then there won't be any DSL light (Blinking or otherwise).

If you apply for Streamyx and they already jumper your line, then it will flash and after a short while will stay on all the time, if signal is ok .

Everyone giving different information so I am also not sure who to believe anymore.

Update on my case.

1) Confirmed - that the Guy who claimed to be from TMpoint (promoting the Streamyx packages in the shopping complex) who said he will help fix the problem is a 'CHEAT'.

Today he didn't call me, so I called him to find out what was happenning to his promise. Initially he didn't even remember about what my problem was all about. I had to describe my problem all over again. Then he said he will check out my application status. Later I called him again and he advised me to call the 1300 number for help.

Damn! That day I already told him that the 1300 couldn't help me and he promised me he could fix the problem if I register with him. That's the only reason I signed the form and let him photostst my I.C. Now he ask me to call the 1300 number !!! .

So I went to the TMpoint centre personally today and they confirmed he doesn't work with them. He is just another reseller. The TMpoint Centre person called his (the fake guy) number that I provided to them, and the 'Cheat' denied he told me he was from TMpoint (as what I expected he would do). I am now worried about my photocopy IC that he took from me.

2) Confirmed - The 1300 helpline people are either completely ignorant or cheats. Last week I was worried my account (RM44 self-installation package) will be auto-activated after 7 days even when I can't get a signal. So I called the 1-300-88-9515 activation centre and asked them about the auto-activation matter. I was thinking of cancelling my application because I didn't want to be trapped in a 1 year agreement when my line couldn't even get a blinking signal.

The person told me , confirmed, that I need not worry because the auto-activation is only for those who choose the Free Modem package where they need to pay for installation. Those who get the RM44/- package and do self-installation won't have auto-activation. They will only activated once I give them the go ahead.

Today I found out that my Account has been AUTO-ACTIVATED !!!. When I went to the TMpoint centre to complain, they told me that I am bound to the 1 year agreement and there was nothing they could do. The can't deactivate or cancel the account.

Really Damn!! I have to pay for 1 year subscription and I can't even get a stupid blinking signal yet!.

In the meantime, I just have to take their word that they will recheck the jumpers and wait for them to contact me.

So please take this as a lesson and not be so dumb as me. I was too trusting and took everybody's word without asking for their names or report numbers. Now I can't report the persons who bullsh***ed me and have to bear the consequences.

One final bit of advice. NEVER believe anything TMnut people tell you (especially from the 1300 support line) without being extremely cautious.

Can anyone here tell me how to check my Streamyx 'account usage' online using my dial-up Jaring account.

Since my account has been auto-activated and I can't use it, I am worried those jokers might be using my streamyx account without my knowledge (Remember this is a RM44/- package) and I will be charged the RM44/- and any extra usage at 1 sen per minute.

SnoWFisH, thanks.

Like I mentioned, I was at the TMpoint centre personally today to complain about the auto-activation but they themselves said it is their policy and they cannot do anything about it.

Btw the link you provided is only for prepaid users or something like that.

Selfcare? You mean their (TMnet) website online services. I have tried before but there isn't anything that will show me my Streamyx usage record.

That means its not being used or not yet used...Call TmNut to find out if anyone used..Just tell them u cant get the ddamn signal and you're not willing to pay a single cent for it...

Telling them is one thing, whether they will listen or not is another thing sad.gif .

About the matter on usage, what I meant was there is no button where I can click that will show my usage record.

I can only check my application status which gives only basic information about my application. Nothing further apart from that.

Probably they only allow you to check your account usage when you log in using Streamyx. What an irony because I can't use the Streamyx account in the first place.

Update on my problem

I was right all along.

After making official complaint/report at Tmpoint on Monday, and after so many calls to thier 1300 in the past week, I got edgy again and called their 1300 this morning for an update to my problem.

As usual they insist jumper already done, and keep suggesting I call their contractors to check on my installation (meaning want to force me to pay Installation fees). I refused and insisted I know they are forcing me to pay installation fees and I flatly said that I know the problem is not on my side. I told if not fixed within another week then I will insist on cancelling my account even when they say I can't cancel.

An hour later when I was surfing the internet using my Jaring Dial-up, the connection suddenly went dead. Not even a normal phone dial tone. Then miraculously I heard my doorbell ring and two TM guys/ or Contractors (not sure) on motorbike asked me if I reported a problem with my phone line.

I suspect they purposely made my line went dead so that they can make one last attempt to say my streamyx problem is because of my internal problem and pretend to fix it and ask me sign form for installation.

So I told them the problem is not the phone line wiring in my house and did not let them in. After that they gave up and drove away. After five minutes, I got a call from them to check my modem, and when I did, 'lo and behold' I nearly jumped out of my skin. The DSL light finally appeared. Eureka! They must have finally done some jumpering at the Telekom 'Box' outside the main road near my Taman or asked their contact at Tm to fix the jumpering there.

But whetever it is, right now I am online using Streamyx and so far so good.

Yes, just like I told you before the Modem won't have any DSL light if not jumpered for Streamyx yet.

These are the steps you have to take :-

1) After application online, wait for few days and then call their 1300 line and ask them to confirm if jumper already done.

2) If they say yes, then test your line by connecting your modem straight to phone jack without the handset (no need to connect to computer yet). Power on the modem and wait a while for the blinking signal. After blinking for a while, the Signal will stabilise and will remain always on.

If completely no signal at all after waiting (not even blinking one) , then you are like my case. Those people didn't jumper yet but want to cheat you by saying already done.

3) If signal is stable, then you can start setting up your computer and connecting the ethernet cable. Also set up your user name and password etc in your modem. You can't connect to internet yet if your account not activated yet.

4) Now you can also connect your splitter/microfilter and your handset between the wall socket and your modem.

5) Finally if you are satisfied all is well, call their 1300 activation centre to activate your account (if you don't their system will auto activate after 7 days without your permission).

6) Once activated, and if your modem login to Streamyx server to browse internet, your PPP light will also light up.
