I think lepak stop more than time on saddle haha, i have appointment at 5, i guess i will have to go off earlier, i thought it will end at most at 1pm.. averaging 20km/h which is already pretty slow..
*
haha... for someone who is griping about not being able to average 30kph not so long ago... now complain 20kph is slow rolleyes.gif

well.. lepak too much and the legs become marshmallow... never like rides that ride - stop - ride - stop - ride - stop (repeat 50 times)

last time i remember first time i tried to ride (genting highlands, but failed) with a friend using mountain bikes... we stopped at the sempah petronas area there for some breakfast after clearing karak highway... a short 40 odd minutes rest.. when finished and wanted to continue the ride.. cannot feel legs already... end up pushing 50% of the way up gohtong jaya...

new policy now... never sit down for more than 5 mins....

120km Broga loop ride. 8 hours. you must be kidding.

Even leisure group Team Magnum cyclists were back around 1pm.
you won't say the same thing if there are more than 70% of pretty girls riding in the group that day... and wearing g-strings exposed at the top only covered by a very very thin lycra (no pads)

i bet you'll ride so slow you will fall off your bike...

upgrades.. let's see.. I bought a new Polar water bottle that keep my water cooler! RM40 damage!
and now my cadence magnet drop off, shred 20g from overall weight...

after u get cleat pedal still can cycle without clip shoe on those pedal?
*
mental upgrades... better than none...

if you have a wide enough platform pedal... you can still ride without the clipless shoes... jus a bit slippery... and dun ride out of saddle or you will have an epic balls to the top tube stunt...

some pedals like speedplay has a platform adaptor for riding with normal shoes... like going on errands...

QUOTE(vin_ann @ Jul 27 2012, 12:26 PM)
tell me if such group exist.

i dump my group immediately.

Guess it's only in dreamland i cycle slow with such group...
*
makan kacang lupa kulit...

you can fork out the money??? i can create such a group... jus pay bikini models to come and ride with us... dun even need to wear lycra.. jus g-string...

you, me and sky... +70% female population, no problem icon_rolleyes.gif ... we pay 3 models.. 1-to-1... enough boh? thumbup.gif else, we pay 6 of 'em, 2-to 1 (if you can handle it) sweat.gif ... can let you choose ger some more cool2.gif ...

maybe i can start a company called "bikini cycling escorts" brows.gif brows.gif brows.gif end all the lonely fappers once and for all..

got for cyclist is called erythropoietin or EPO BOOST its OTC.
*
not same effect ma... the blue pill gives you performance even when you can't perform.. EPO lets you perform better on top of what you can perform rolleyes.gif in other words.. one makes a soft noodle hard... the other makes an already hard noodle rock hard... sweat.gif

i saw this product in pharmacies called EPO too... and many girls take it too rclxms.gif and it's legitimate.. not on UCI banned list...

Why the base of my left foot feel abit numb after riding for a while. my other foot is alright. @@

my leg is abit like donald duck as in the leg face outward  for your info. It was like this since young.

Perhaps time to change to speedplay @@
*
slight pain around the ball of the foot is a common thing especially when you stamp hard on the pedals.. and it usually does not happen on both feet at the same time...

you can adjust your cleats to center your feet as much as you can...experiment around with minute adjustments and see which one works best for you.. you do not need to replicate positioning on both shoes exactly the same as there is no symmetry in the human body...one can be cantering out and the other one perfectly centered if that is wat you feel works best for you..

speedplay does not offer anything extra in that area unless you are looking to move your cleat positions further back where conventional cleat designs do not allow...

Hi all cycling sifu...

I new here and want to ask about the Fuji altamira 2.0 compact 2012 price.
can any sifu tell me... pls...  icon_question.gif
*
you might want to ask the bike shops... we don't have a list on hand to answer you about the price...

think GH Speebike might have 'em... expect no less than 8k i would guess since the MSRP is already 2.8k USD..

QUOTE(nlik @ Jul 29 2012, 12:06 AM)
Kazakhstan win's the Olympic road race Gold medal. in the last 300 hundred meters or so, this gold medalist tactically moved to the opponent's blind spot on the right for that brief moment catching the opponent sleeping off guard, and then speed off to the finish line. Splendid.
*
sure, a lot of lambasting will come up in the next few days about him doping...

QUOTE(MattJ @ Jul 29 2012, 07:13 AM)
Team GB blames others for their misery. In reality their strategies and tactics were all wrong apart from being overconfident. They failed to realize that the other riders are also going for gold, nobody is going to let them dictate anything. Congrats to Vino, stepping up from a silver to the ultimate Gold.
If he had not crashed, it would have been Cancellara's.
*
spartacus looks uncertain to start the TT event...

the whole race was centered around not letting the world champ win...all the teams was jus too busy marking GB and GB too busy trying to wiggle away from them.. ultimately stupid enough to let the 22 escapees run off and unable to chase them back...

GB should have used Cav as a decoy and let someone else from the team win...

My Friend,

Yes, of coz i know u didnt have any price list but I believe u guy are more experience in cycling parts and able share the approximate price of the bike  tongue.gif  rclxms.gif
Thanks for you information and at least now i know the expected price and is good for me.

Btw, is ths bike good? can sharing more?  icon_question.gif  blush.gif  tongue.gif  rclxms.gif  thumbup.gif
*
whether it is good or not??? it is hard to be subjective and fair since neither of us here actually owns the bike or in fact any of it's direct competitor models...

but generally, bikes at this price range are already good bikes if not the best this much money can get you... the question is if this is better than another model or say, something like a tarmac expert or tarmac elite from specialized? and if it offers as much value in other words a good buy from your point of view?

that and aesthetics aside.. the other very critical question is relating to you, yourself... is this bike a good bike for you? taking into accounts whether you are looking for a flatland speed machine or a ultra stiff climbing rig? is the fit and geometry what you have in mind?

anything said at this point will be a very vague answer for you either ways since we have never sneak a ride on it before... reading the bike review by independent owners and bike magz would help take out some guess work for you... never based your decisions on reviews.. always test it out yourself..

looking at something i know more closer would be the BMC Road Racer... just a shade under RM10k spec'ed almost the same.. the road racer at this point of comparison costs a whole RM1k more if based on the direct currency conversion of USD2819... while road racer is 4th tier from the top, the altamira is 2nd or 3rd from the top depending on whether there is any difference in the team replica frames...

a 3rd tier from BMC, the Race Machine spec'ed with SRAM red on the other hand costs a whopping RM14k i guess...

so, from paper specs.. it looks like the altamira is a bargain buy without factoring in the ride qualities...

you must have specific reasons you are interested in this bike... best to still go and see it for yourself and the other models from other shops within your budget range...

hopefully, you already have an idea of what bike you want since the bikes now are overly complicated and other than performance, it is segmented into each their specialties...

my tire kena glass.. and punctured.. hand pump seems not able to help out a lot in this case, tried 6 different hand pumps.. now my new tire seems need replacement again after less than 200km..
apa kaitan the pump with the puncture... maybe you haven't got the shard out completely before you replace the tube and pump it up?

unless it's a deep cut or a cut on the sidewall.. doubt you have to throw the tire away....

there is at least 2 polygon users in the thread.. a carbon helios 600 and an aluminum helios 500...

do continue the conversation in the v3 thread...
