Its OK, at least the Saga installment is not making a big dent on my income.

Some fellas I know are paying half of their salary to their Jap/Kor car, then go TT with car club have to spend more money to keep up appearances as well, very sad lor in my eyes.

I just wished that my Saga didn't make me visit SC 10 times in 2 months mad.gif

yesterday my flx cvt engine died at traffic light. i don't know why, quite scared if died again. but so far that's the only one.

i drive normally, speeding and hard brake, aircond speed is 1 and half the temp switch. change from N to D without pressing brake..

nvr happens before, need to check with SC, this weekend is my 3rd service. will go to section 13 pj.
*
You're not the only person who encountered this, it seems the Campro engine will go asthmatic after hard revving or cold start, dunno if it has anything to do with the CVT.

Someone mentioned can update the ECU at the SC, maybe you could explore that avenue.

that's easy, just let it be till d next service, unless major prob  sweat.gif

Some things can't wait, some things too annoying to wait, lotsa reasons lah. Sometimes when you go to the SC, they either make you wait whole day, or ask you to come back next week etc.

FOrget about Fiesta S la, save up for a year and then whack one E90. Should be around 100K next year. BMW depreciate at least 20K a year haha.

Fiesta S wub.gif wub.gif

I have my reasons for my obsession with the Fiesta S, besides it's cheap and cheerful rclxms.gif . Furthermore I'm not into BMW, 2.0l engine notwithstanding, I dun wanna eat maggi everytime I send it in for maintenance.

EDIT: did I suddenly give ppl the impression I can comfortably afford a RM100k car? I'm poorfag sad.gif

Sorry, i've left out some details on my previous post. I meant only the High Spec Persona are equipped with auto cruise feature.
Proton and Lotus R&H is not the same, they have different suspension setup.
*
Of course the Persona and Saga have different setup, nonetheless both were tuned with Lotus R&H, now known as Proton R&H, unless Proton is in the business of misleading their customers, as the video below illustrates:

Sound the new SAGA CVT plenty of problem. Manufacturing failure?
*
The safe mode kicked in to protect the CVT due to abnormal operating conditions induced by the driver/external factors. Considering CVTs are inherently more delicate and sensitive than your average AT box, I'd say the ECU is doing it's job.

Hi,
Just to report back, in regards to the 'teeeeeeeet' sound from underneath the rear seat, I went to SC to check and they say its the fuel pump sound and its completely normal for saga model. due to its (very) poor insulation, thats why we heard it very clear.

Thus this recalls that some of you guys did put insulflex into the saga flx doortrim.Do you mind to share some pics of the successful DIY ? pretty pleaseee biggrin.gif
*
But, insulflex on the door trim won't insulate fuel pump sound....

Recently I just noticed that when descending downhill my car engine will roar so loud but I didn't press the gas pedal and gear is d.... Is it normal??

Then another problem also....when I press break pedal theres a tak tak sound comes out from my left rear end...when this happened, I was not going on any high speed... What's the possible problem?
*
Man I'm gonna need to put up a "known issue" section in the first page soon. doh.gif

Your first question, yes it's normal, it's called engine braking. You'll also notice that your car slows down without you pressing the brake, because your CVT / AT downshifted to slow it down.

Your second question, it's your rear drumbrake. Proceed to COSE to claim a new one, although I am told it does not affect the braking capability.

Hmm, if thats the case, soundproofing the firewall and floor would be the only solution because for flx most noises came from the front..

fuel pump is under the rear seat. Just remove the seat and you can see the hatch cover dy.

Alright fellas, I've added a section for "known saga problems and solutions" in the first page / third post, for the common problems that are often asked here.

My experience is largely with the FLX, so let me know if there are anything to add or correct.

Even if it was fixed with half cut it won't pass the JPJ inspection right?

CANNOT FIX LA. The insurance company is trying to cheat their way out of a total loss claim. Time for the owner to pay a visit to BNM.
