they displayed the pricelist during Power of 1 though.  The one SC that acknowledged MT existed said that the variant isnt as popular, so the volume is low. Im trying my luck that somebody knows there's one available.
*
Isn't as popular? Of course, since nobody even knew it exists.

Personally I think a 1.6 MT, if it really exists, would be a hit among the younger male drivers.

Apparently not as popular. I have just been told  1.6 FLX SE is not in market anymore and they ceased production for that variant already. We'd be lucky if we find one biggrin.gif

Another thing i don't understand about their marketing is that they use the red FLX SE in their pamphlet and all, but no red SE in stock. One SA said 11 customers waiting for red. Same thing happened when I was buying my car. They use white neo cps on ads, yet white ones are the most difficult to find. It took me 3 months. Haiya.
*
FLX SE stopped production already? There really isn't that many on the road eh...
Most likely those who could afford the SE went on and bought the Persona instead.

From what i saw on road, last time BLM with new plate is grow very fast, then FL start to slow down, until FLX, at least in Johor, i seldom saw it compare to former two variant...FLX SE? i saw not more than 5 times on road...

IMO because not many willing to spend higher price for the same B segment car, although the spec is attractive.
*
I think that time the price gap between BLM and Persona quite large. sub 40k, it was either the BLM or a Viva.

Now that the price gap has narrowed, plus Persona was going with some pretty good discounts. But you'll never know, for the same price, ppl still go for turtle.

FLX SE rare is good...spesial ma tongue.gif But when I wanna sell I think I'm gonna cry doh.gif

Still in production bro.

And yes, it is 2012 manufactured.
-fuel consumption subjective, depends on how you drive
-powertrain CVT vs AT, on your call.
-acceleration AT respond faster and less krook kroook sound when sudden lift off pedal
-stability Persona wins hands down, because of Lotus handling
-default in-car audio system (can plug in ipod?) Can be done later even not available on lower spec model.
- got auto cruise kah?  tongue.gif High spec got
- any problems so far?.. subjective, every car got problem tongue.gif

Come my showroom bro, i let u test drive till you happy. MT, AT, CVT also can.  brows.gif
*
Which Saga high spec got autocruise? And Saga has Proton/Lotus ride and handling just the same. Difference is, Saga is taller than the Persona, so it is naturally less stable.

Jackal mentioned the throttle lag more severe in the FLX than the Persona, that is due to the CVT's rubber band effect (step on pedal, RPM goes up, but speed climbs slowly.)

the multi link set up of the Persona offers a more flat and relatively more stable ride compared to the Saga's torsion beam set up. That's a fact can't be denied.
*
That too.

It's just my balls are always done in by the ride height first before worrying about the suspension setup.

actually 4,000 rpm can go more than 110kph. I personally hit 160kph before at 4,000 rpm on a decline. The reason why the person rev to 4,000 rpm is because the engine is producing the maximun torque at 4,000rpm which will give better acceleration (It is a 0-100kph test).

110kph = 2,600rpm for the 1.3. The 1.6 could be even lower rpm or the same. Never drove one before.

my 1.3, 12.4km/L. 70 highway 30 city, heavy footer.

Same.

a great review indeed.. rclxms.gif  thumbup.gif

btw, any exact owner for Saga FLX 1.6 CVT?? i would like to hear from its owner..somehow my brain still stucked between persona and this 1.6cvt SE saga...i have the budget for both..and both is also 1.6.. rclxub.gif
*
Same as what trent999 said, except more torque and higher top speed. Bewarned, I believe that the 1.6 FLX has a harsher ride than the 1.3 FLX or the Persona, so some may not like it especially if you are ferrying young kids with the car.

Yes, Saga's CVT can be a b1tch to drive at speeds <20km/h, for example when doing 3 point turns in tight spots, I often only release the brakes and let the car roll, because I'm afraid if I press the throttle the car will jerk forward and hit something. But once you are cruising, the power delivery is smooth and immediate.

If you are looking for comfort and stability, Persona is the obvious choice. If you want something fun to drive while still serviceable as a family car, then the Saga is decent enough. Although both sport the 1.6 Campro, the Saga is about 150-200kg lighter and has slightly higher torque (but lower hp), so it drives much zippier.

both ride hide almost same. But persona larger tyre + longer + wider....even Persona is torsion beam setup it will stable than Saga also..
*
Yep, the Persona is better proportioned for stability (lower and wider). Plus, the seats are also lower, I believe, leading to less lean being felt by the passenger. In the Saga, even if the car roll less than the Waja, I feel myself leaning more during turns.

So far, the Saga is the tallest sedan I have ever driven.

i see..what is the actual jerk that u/other forumer mentioned?..it is happening in all CVT type transmission?..it is like suddenly rush of power ?..
*
The jerking is when you press lightly on the throttle, the car hardly responses. Then you press a bit more the car suddenly lunges forward. It's nothing serious, just annoying at times and needs some getting used to. Once you learn to control your throttle, it'll be less of an issue.

Btw.. How long is the warranty for it?..so far any major issue on its engine/transmission??
*
Generally, powertrain components (engine and CVT), 3 years or 100k km.

The rest, 1 year. Power window, lifetime.

Both cars have no major issues, is all down to your preference because they cater to different buyers. Do you want performance? comfort? handling? features? FC? etc. etc. These are all questions that you need to ask yourself.

Double confirm this with your nearest SC.
Some SC likes to create their own warranty time.Pandai2 saja doh.gif

I know some SC in my district saying that engine/transmission only have 1 year warranty & the rest of parts 6 months only.

*
Take out your manual and whack them on the head with it.

It is clearly stated in the manual.

Simply put Saga FLX have pretty much everything that Persona has except Persona have better handling.
However for it's price FLX is a very good value buy.
*
H-line Persona got more than good handling. Got autocruise, read disc brake, remote boot release. All those sissy shet tongue.gif tongue.gif
