my flx SE wheel arch place seems to be lacking of something called auto foam or chassis foam? because when i ran over sandy road or water, the sand or water hit the wheel arch very loud and noisy.. those compound which is rubber-like but very hard under the wheel arch.. they simply sprayed randomly on the wheel arch from assembly factory i guess. most part of the wheel arch are exposed steel.. is it suitable to apply chassis foam onto exposed area?

chasis foam is for concealed area because it needs something solid to act as a mould for it when it solidify.

If this is not proper, please direct me to a proper channel. Should we NOT discuss fuel consumption thingy here? Besides, I'm not whining or complaining anyways. Just trying to show you my results and what I did so far trying to save some petrol. I know some people wouldn't mind to spend more on petrol, like DA GREAT AMORA from Kuching. Even he rev his car like that also can do 9km/l on average, I suppose finding out why my BLM waste so much petrol can benefit other BLMers too. I'm new member, so please go easy on me. If this is not proper, I'll go some other thread regarding FC

Cut the long story short. I've started quite a few threads, and have grown to be sick and tired of the constant FC discussions. Its not like the car can't achieve goof FC figures, it can, just that you must know how to.

Besides, I did make one thread SPECIFICALLY for FC, so that discussions for FC can be kept to a bare minimum. If you want to check your car, first thing is to reset your ECU etc etc etc. Too damn lazy to type all out, but since you seem to have extensive knowledge in the said field, I'm pretty sure you know where to look at. And ask yourself, why did the previous owner sell their car?

then what is those compound on the wheel arch? my SE wheel arch has a lot of exposed metal.. when sand or water hits the arch it creates very loud noise.. maybe i can get a picture of my wheel arch now

I heard he 1 year didn't pay installment, not sure how truthful is that... I went back and check on my system, indeed he 1 year didn't renew roadtax/insurance also. The car was hide in the house for more than a year. I got it for relatively cheap price. By the time I got it, the mileage is only 14k. To be frank, I'm not an expert in EFI vehicles. I used to tune weber/solex carbs. Besides of my old 4G93 coverted SAGA(already sold), this is the 1st time I own a twin cam engine in a local car. Moreover it so damn new CAMPUR engine. I didn't say I'm expert in fuel efficient field, I'm sharing my current experience.

And thank you for pointing out the correct thread. I'll be reporting there instead. So, what do we discuss here normally?

I allow FC talk here as long as it's not chronic la, members still talk about other topics, not just FC FC FC and FC. The trending topic now seems to be soundproofing so takkan later I ban that also meh.

And after a few PM with david, he seems to know what he's talking about specifically about Proton cars, so I think it can be beneficial to saga members, especially new ones. Rest assured, I do keep watch and moderate if needed

Thats my speculation, as my dad's car also same case. Car left not used for a year, low mileage, bought cheap. Recently just overhauled. Now brakes not working. and no power.
