Custom ROMs are good for theme-ing really (I hardly do, which begs the question why I'm on custom ROM). And also, for certain custom features e.g. swipe to wipe notification ala ICS is available on latest turkbey and checkrom, which are both actually GB (maybe that's why I'm on custom rom )

Apart from that, as pikachu would say, you can gain the performance/battery improvements via kernels and scripts. Which come in much smaller packages

Hmm I get the batt increasing on idle a well, but spike wise, not necessarily kernel related gua, hard to narrow down oso since over long period

Haha battery % are not entirely 100% accurate ma. Esp once I was on 1%, after quite long using it went back up to 2%. Went back down to 1% after more use, and back up to 2% again. Finally next cycle it went down to 0
