QUOTE(kaysa @ Feb 26 2012, 02:26 PM) I agree with the Filco part, but I never tried a ducky, for the Filco I m typing on, the blue switch clicky felt great, Certain batches of Filco TKL(and also CM Storm) are known to being plagued by arrow keys offset problem. Mean the keys are misaligned and off-center than what it should be. It should not affect the use of the keyboard but may affect you to insert a key-puller. Also, those perfectionists will sure mind about it, LOL.and as I changing the key caps, moving around holding in hand the weight the textures, every thing felt good in every category. Added on February 26, 2012, 1:29 pm Thanks for the RM100 suggestion. I will consider it when I want to get another keyboard but for now, the price I will set at RM120, postage not included. BTW, What do you mean by the arrow keys offset problem? Then, can take a macro shot at the arrow keys part? Thx. QUOTE(kyrmian @ Feb 26 2012, 11:11 AM) No, most importantly my friends has all the switches I can try. lol I think you can change switches, but it requires a lot of work. and $$ QUOTE(kEazYc @ Feb 26 2012, 11:22 AM) Yes it's possible to change the switches, but you need to do a lot of soldering works, and of course it voids the warranty. I see... wah Mech KB sound so fun I've a friend who modded all types of switches to his mechanical keyboard accordingly to his play style. |

PS/2 type.and btw, @kaiserreich the model M u got is using what type of connector? have a blue cube ready for all purposes. But a RM10 Ps2->USB converter works fine as well, if you aren't picky anyways. This came in today ![]() |

QUOTE(kaiserreich @ Feb 26 2012, 05:40 PM) PS/2 type. Not sure if it will work with Model M but other PS/2 board(include those that adapt from USB to ps/2) work with the RM10 one(white/black colored with one side USB and another side 2 ps/2 for keyboard and mouse).have a blue cube ready for all purposes. But a RM10 Ps2->USB converter works fine as well, if you aren't picky anyways. This came in today » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « But it do cause come problem though. Recently when I test out the KRO, i found out that if I hold keys and release only one key, all keys will be unregistered. But I guess it won't affect on routine typing... That's why I had landed my eyes on Belkin adapter from taobao for so far, but everytime I don't buy stuffs from those seller(2nd hand stuff sellers), those the postage feel not worth... QUOTE(noobandroid @ Feb 26 2012, 04:53 PM) QUOTE(JohnDiew0107 @ Feb 26 2012, 05:00 PM) Best not to apply excessive heat to your keycaps.ABS keycaps may warp. My friend put it into those type of tumble dryer and it warped his super thick wyse keycaps. He was not pleased. I found that leaving them under a fan, upside down to be rather effective. Best to shake out the water in the stem to let it dry faster. Cherry MX are easier. Try cleaning Model M caps. For 2 piece keycaps, it is double the work per keyboard. @Cyclone, have the keys arrived yet? source: http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?24604-A...REBOOTED/page40 ![]() This post has been edited by kaiserreich: Feb 26 2012, 06:45 PM |
