The noise that the numpad makes is a little bit amplified due to the hollow structure.
In real use, it is not so noisy, especially the clacking sound.

And as always, if anyone wants to try the numpad out, shoot me a PM

Last I heard, it was a once a month production run.
I think the tooling and stuff are focused on the KBT Pure, since they share the same casing and board size. I'm just guessing

Receive my Ducky brown switch. Looks simple but when lighted up looks really cool. Came with blue led for the lock keys and green AWSD. Understood it's random, like it though smile.gif
Trying to get used to the typing now.

It came with changeable "AWSD" keys in green color if u want to replace the default black. Don't think I'll use it though, looks too funky.

the keyboard itself is pretty well built, except the ugly arrow keys and the sharp bend for the cable (which i have no idea why).

hmm, serial number 125. Seems like heard in china forums got ppl mentioned b4, not too sure.
Since it is 125, it probably is first batch with the keys offset problem, right?
When free please take some macro pictures on arrow keys and f,g and g,h. They are among the most significant offset exist.

I don't think steelseries has backlit option... how about your budget?

Ducky DK9008S has backlit as well, slightly expensive than razer BWU.

If Ducky doesn't met your taste and you want something more bling bling and exaggerated, don't go for Razer BWU.

Wait longer and see if CM(Cooler Master) is bringing in their CM Storm Trigger. It is probably a Razer BWU's clone but at least it is not glossy and having more normal layout.

You can try to get KeyCool blank key set from taobao.
It is either fullset 104 keys(mean lack 4 keys) without window keys or 87keys fullset with some windowed keys.

If you are not desperate, fullset 104 keys should be OK.
If not, you can try to buy 2 set of 87 blank keys(cost around RM30 each set) and getting the keys you want.

EDIT: Opps, forget that 87 keys set lack of the numpad, you probably need another set of fullkey for numpad, that should mean a total of 3 set(2 set 87, one set 104) to achieve a fully compatible(except spacebar) blank keys for ducky.

If you are willing to go for higher price, try to search for Ducky's PBT replacement keycaps and see if got blank variant(sold out in PChome...).
