QUOTE(skye @ Mar 6 2012, 09:48 AM) The great debate...In ancient Chinese 青 means blue, while 绿 means green. This however, no longer being practiced in the modern Chinese language. If you do know Chinese, there are quite a number of idioms/phrases that use 青 instead of 蓝, for example: 把酒问青天 Japanese which uses Kanji(chinese character) since ancient times still maintain/use their original meaning till today. If you search for Japanese - English translation, you'll see different translation from Chinese - English. =D *Extra* The more common name for brown suppose to be 褐 in Chinese. Although 茶 is also means brown in Chinese, but uncommon. Totally opposite from Japanese. since the name for the switches is already established, they just follow the Japanese's naming instead of different naming to avoid confusing their potential customers hope someone know what I'm babbling about... ============================== Btw, really headache looking for a readily available + cheap + bang for the buck tenkeyless for office+portable use.. QUOTE(JohnDiew0107 @ Mar 6 2012, 11:48 AM) blue switch should probably cheaper, not reaching RM213. It is around 340rmb normally. When offer it may be even cheaper(but nowadays more rare already since KC getting more popular). There is some seller giving more offer(free gifts and free ship by 顺风(best and fastest courier in China). Only get from KC store if you plan to get more accessories together. By the way guys if you need to contact Cheah, he is having some pc issue.
So if you want to add your name to the club with the mech keyboard you have, just send a PM to chuah as usual, but it will be a while before he can update the list cauz of this technical issue In other news, looks like ROCCAT is trying to do something with keyboards and mobile android devices http://www.engadget.com/2012/03/06/roccat-...-pc-controls-t/ This post has been edited by Moogle Stiltzkin: Mar 6 2012, 06:09 PM |

The G80-3800 is PCB mounted, IOW it don't having steel plate.I mean is it possible to mod the springs of the switches without soldering? Added on March 6, 2012, 2:43 pm and what the hell did any home/office use keyboard need a "military grade cable"? Yes, it is possible to mod the springs and stems of the switches without soldering, but still you need some skills, tools and pratices to jack/pry off the top of the switch.
