Omg i meant cases =.=
As in the shell of the KB

Sorry, bad typo sad.gif

Shell replacement is a new thing in the market, currently not much manufacturer or maker made it.

The thing recently hyped around here is the acrylic cases by MKC, which is mean for FILCO. Not very sure if CM Storm can be stuffed in. We need an owner with both boards to compare the dimension of it to be sure.

Haha well i know its personal preference, so one man's meat is another man's poison tongue.gif.
Anyway, its a small pro/con that one. I can live with either i guess just a matter of getting used to it.

What is more pressing is rather:

1) Warranty: Do these boards tend to spoil/fail early? If yes then I guess its better to take the one with warranty
2) Compatibility with standard keycaps: I plan to change em in the future. I heard Leopold's have off center spacer bars. Is this true to the FC200R/Archiss AS-KB87T also?

I guess this CM Quick Fire Rapid Pro vs Archiss AS-K87T is like a Filco MJT2 TKL vs Leopold FC200R kinda thing tongue.gif. What are you guy's opinion on this?
*
Most mechanical keyboard suffer failure(if any) when they come DOA. If it works normally in 1-2 weeks time, it should work normally for the rest of its time.

All cherry MX keycaps are compatible and swappable as long as it's profile is right.

Good news, PBT fullset for 150RMB(not sure if true).
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=9972268320

P/S: Heard that the actual reason behind the price drop is that sooner there will be competition coming out, they drop the price to attract back customer, TROLOL.

Dyesub PBT is in different league. Firstly it is white PBT(harder to make) and it is dye-sub(pricier).

BTW, most of the time I don't trust those online reviews fully. Cause most probably they got the review samples for free and I never saw they talk anything bad b4... Also, most of the time those review samples exhibit more flawless than it actual does... rolleyes.gif

Corsair K60? biggrin.gif

Added on April 11, 2012, 8:25 pmor CM Storm Trigger?
*
Corsair K60, even more overpriced in Malaysia(in US it cost only 80USD, which is around RM250 only...)

BTW, Corsair K60 doesn't get much attraction here because we hate it as it is a mechanical mix rubber dome keyboard... doh.gif

CM Storm Trigger, just being launched not too long ago. Probably will take another few more months to reach Malaysia judging based on last time the time for CM Storm Quickfire to enter Malaysia.

BTW, that keyboard still lack of enough information for us to decide if it is a good buy. The basic part is that it is made and designed and marketed as GAMING KEYBOARD(1000hz polling rate, 6 anti-ghosting(we call 6KRO here), braided cable, rubberised bla bla bla).

The remaining part is that we are currently unsure who is the OEM(maker) of the keyboard. There is 2 rumors out there, some said iOne(same manufacturer with Razer BW) and some said Costar(the one who made FILCO and CM Storm Quickfire).

Costar >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>(better than) iOne

Hmmm kindda suit for me the layout, not fancy but what is the BIGASS layout? The steelseries 6gv2 or the 7G?
*
Both, the "Enter" key is BIG reversed "L" instead of normal "-" we met on most local keyboards.

Accompanied by it, SS7G is having a small Backspace while 6GV2 is having a shorter right shift(and it can be affecting your input as you most probably get used to "?" key directly beside Shift).

Well actually the BIG Enter L is the normal one during IBM as the mainstream pc and I like it, kindda bring back the memories. But in term of reliability and durability, this mechanical keyboard is among the top notch.

You sure? AFAIK, this is the mainstream IBM keyboard

Hi everyone,

Just want to let you know I got a SIIG Minitouch keyboard with blue Monterey switches for sale. The overall cosmetics of the keyboard is "OK" but all the keys work perfectly - very light and pleasant clickiness.

Here's the advertisement: http://goo.gl/VtcSf

Please send me a PM if you are interested.
