Managed to get the 'kluk kluk kluk' noise fixed. But now, there's annoying plastic friction noise coming out from the left side of the front door panel around the window panel.  dry.gif

Most Myvi owners are experiencing this problem as well - and soon it will happen on both doors sad.gif

Got in contact with my SC yesterday and she said that P2 actually offers ARBs for sale. It was overshadowed by UR which is the reason why it isn't pushed to owners.

Not too sure about the pricing, thickness and availability of other bars, but will keep you guys posted.

F-22, are you running on HIDs? Or are those NB+ or Diamond Vision?

QUOTE(Green_lemontea @ Apr 9 2012, 09:55 AM)
Hi Guys, I plan to be a Myvi owner soon but still deciding what color am I going for.
I saw some Myvi with Ivory White become yellowish after a few years.
Is it true? Will the bright white fade after a couple of years?

If this is it, I might have to get black then... sad.gif
*
Green_lemontea, I'm owning a white car for the first time, and my regime is similar to kelvyn's - a weekly wash minimum, and a wipedown after a rain to ensure the marks don't stick. I've used Sierra Glow on mine to prevent paint oxidation, which the oxidation causes the paint to turn yellow. Even my neighbours have started to call my house a detailing centre with the amount of time they see me wiping down the car but trust me, to know that you've been playing a part in keeping your car's looks certainly gives you the right to be proud of it.

Also, it's what F-22 says as well - the white, yellow and silver shows the contrast of the black trim, and it certainly looks good with it too. The black and purple IMHO, just clumps with everything, with nothing distinctive standing out. Plus you get an oven hot car under the sun as well tongue.gif

Hi Kelvyn, I just booked an Ivory White for my wife and planning to send for PPS Teflon treatment. Will PPS treatment help to prevent solid white turn yellowish?
*
philipcs, based on people's experience and my own - PPS will require you to go back for periodical treatment to maintain it. A friend of mine did it on his white Ford Focus and it started peeling off after quite a while. He later went to Sierra Glow and it's fine so far. SG would be much cheaper as well, as I did my ride for RM500.

Thanks Colin, I will do some research on Sierra Glow then. At the moment, my Prius Pearl White treated with PPS, 3 months now and still ok smile.gif Hope it wouldn't peel off.

The reason i asked this is because Myvi is Solid White and Prius is Pearl White, therefore the effect might be different after treatment.

Thanks again!
*
I guess something had probably gone wrong during the coating process of my friend's car, so if your car is still the brilliant white as it is now it wouldn't matter if it was PPS or SG on it I'd say. smile.gif

colinwong89: i'm not using HID its crystal vison 4300k halogen bulb, the blue purple tint is from my poor camera phone lens itself. i think this bulb is legal because it sit in its original projector, and properly aimed.
*
Halogen bulbs are legal, and I'd say that these bulbs really look good on the Myvi - just I'm a little lazy on the 'JPJ flag-down-and-pop-the-hood-for-ballast' potential problem sad.gif

And it even comes in a package? This is getting a little too tempting. laugh.gif So how much did it cost you to change them, including the fog lights?

Main beam + Clearance light (proper name for position light) can use Crystal Vision 4300K Combo pack. Settle this one.

Which model of Crystal Vision 4300K can fit the fog lamps? I need something that matches all 6 lights.

And for High beam which one?
*
So there's a total of eight bulbs to swap - main bulbs, highbeam bulbs, position bulbs and foglamps. This will come up to be quite costly hmm.gif

Which USJ1 SC is this? According to P2's website, the only SC in USJ is Cekap Platinum.

So... I complained about the vibrating sound at the front left side of passenger door and I'm sending the car to the service centre tomorrow for inspection. But... the car is acting fine (more like trolling). Should I go ahead with my plan? sweat.gif

I think you can just proceed to a DIY job - if you're fussy about scratch marks on your trims on your car. Definitely hard to tell the technicians to be gentle with your baby sad.gif

I remember reading on the FB group that there's a way to get this problem done yourself. You can take all the time you want, and you can be extra gentle to it too smile.gif

this issue many of us here DIY fix only. open up the door panel to check, 1st thing is the window. There is a rubber holding the window if it is loosen then your window will vibrating. 2nd is if your are LB owner your door panel top part could have loosen due to tinting process.
*
I've yet to fix mine though. How did you do yours? And is this window vibrating problem for the LB, because whenever I close my doors my window panes shake.

You can, but you will need to pair proper absorbers to go with it - otherwise your current absorber's lifespan would be drastically reduced.

Dear sifu again...i am having a real problem here....do any of you who is driving myvi 1.5 se manual encounter strong vibration on the gear knob which create unpleasant sound (like metal knocking each other) when driving above 110km or during the condition when torque the rpm more then 3000. mad.gif  mad.gif  mad.gif Really very annoyed when cruising along the highway.

Furthermore there is plastic sound coming out from the dashboard on uneven road...it is at the radio side...when i give pressure on it, the sound disappear. blink.gif  blink.gif  blink.gif
*
Not sure about your dashboard problem, but yes my gearknob vibrates a lot - even I can feel it on the clutch as well. But mine doesn't have a sound when it judders, sorry I can't help you there.

Nope adding bars will not reduce the bounce, however I felt my car was more steady with the 4-point lower bar. If you don't want your car to feel like its floating when driving at higher speeds, you'll have to change your suspension system.
*
I beg to differ, as it depends on what chassis strengthening bars you get for your car. For example, fixing a strut bar ties both front shocks together so when a front wheel hits a bump, the other side supports it, thus you feel less bounce. It's also due to this that you get a rougher ride.

I may be wrong, as two springs in parallel may or may not affect the spring rate. Gotta go back to Form 5 Physics for this smile.gif

You got a corrupted MP3 in there? Or a folder with Unicode characters?

I have a 4GB thumbdrive which I dump my Japanese songs into, and not a problem so far. All of them with Unicode characters, even the ID3 tags and it plays fine.

Could be a thumbdrive that's screwed. The most common ones are Kingston DTs, and they most commonly fail as they're the most commonly fakes. sad.gif
