Minimum cover on life/ci/accident, concentrate on medical insurance.

Enhance your life/ci as you are expected to have another child, more commitment.

Education savings invest elsewhere, not insurance. Eg property. Hold a property for 20 years, that is your child education.

I would say....
the capability to do sustained premium payment without any financial after thought on the highest coverage that insurance plan can accept would be a first thing to come into my mind

Then how come we receive circular that there will not be any increase in the premium? hmm.gif

The Star - Insurance Premium Unchange

If by Jul and your birthday is up, then it make sense that it goes up.

Also take note that the premium can be adjusted with minimum slack or more slack depending on your budget. More slack means more money is invested to built up the cash values to have the policy with better sustainability

Its a medical card that picks up the hospital bills for medically necessary surgery or admission.

Of course it comes with specific terms and conditions that is best explained by the agent.

Do ask for what is _not_ covered so that you get a better understanding on how the medical card works.

Just wondering, is it necessary to carry the PruHealth card with me the whole time?
I'm planning to just save the picture of it in my phone or just refer to to the online account.
Does the panel hospital absolutely require the physical card?
I know the back of the card did mention that providing name, IC and policy number is sufficient but would like to ask out of curiosity. Thanks

Not necessary to carry the physical card with you. As a matter of fact, the new policies issued this year (or was it last year blush.gif ) comes without the physical medical card.

You may snap photo of the medical card and keep it in your handphone or you may download the e-medical card from the below link. Registration is required with a valid handphone.

You may visit any Prudential office to update your contact no if it has since change.

Hi, I would like to ask about the "Pre-existing condition" in Prudential policy. My relative had bought a PRUMillion Med this year and she had an operation to remove ovarian cyst 10 years ago. In the policy, she noticed that the agent did declare it in the proposal. So, does it means that the ovarian cyst is automatically excluded from the medical card under the "Pre-existing condition"? Or if Prudential decided not to cover this, it will be specifically stated in the policy. If it will be specifically stated, where can we find it in the policy?

My relative have asked the agent but the agent told her that Prudential do not mentioned anything about the ovarian cyst operation and hence it will still be covered because the operation is already 10 years and no reoccurance since the operation. Is it true? Or any previous operation will fall into "Pre-existing condition" term.

If it was properly declared in the proposal form, then it will also appear in the policy book at the few back pages in the proposal section, health declaration.

No, it is not automatically excluded if it was properly declared and the risk is accepted.

QUOTE

It is mentioned in the first few pages in the policy under the Schedule 1 Exclusion Clause.

If there is any exclusion, it will be detailed below the Exclusion Clause. If there is no Exclusion, it will be written as "Nil"

That is correct. If it was properly declared and accepted by the insurer, should there be a recurrent, it will be covered provided that the policy has surpassed the Waiting Period as specified in the Specific Illness Clause.

Thank you so much for your clear explanations. It answers most of my doubts. We have checked the Schedule I Exclusion Clause part, it shows

"(D) SPECIAL PROVISIONS
Regardless of anything else we may say in this Policy, the following shall apply:
i) Exclusion Clause
Refer to Policy

- The rest of this page is deliberately blank -"

It does not shows "Nil" but shows "Refer to Policy". Is it how they write it in the new policy if there is no exclusion?
If certain sickness is excluded from the medical card, is it that Prudential will list the name of the specific sickness here?

That means there is no added or extra exclusion being imposed.

The "Nil" was a previous clause, but it has since changed as "refer to policy" makes more sense as whenever the policy is issued, there is a standard exclusion, for example the Specified Illness Waiting Period etc
