using AOSP Paradise ICS ROM, and it's not too bad. ICS and not JB yet, but will likely use this since it's pretty nice. Not sure it's worth upgrading from MIUI, but so far so good. Will probably use it a while and see if i need to flash back to MIUI if it's not nice enough. probably will use WIUI with ICS now. GB is a little outdated with JB around. CM10? maybe not yet

tyenfei, you should spend a little time to flash it. i would say, worth it

mine also green lens, so use the top one. this one has T9 dialing as well, but after flash, go to the hwa setting and untick every single damn thing. then the phone will be smooth, if not, laggy a bit. so far, i'm still using everything stock from the flash, except i don't know why i can't install paid apps from google play.

Long88, hwa setting is hardware acceleration. somehow lags the phone more but if your phone no lag, then all good. but most ppl report lag.

coldf3ar, try getting other sbf files and flash lor, but i'm not sure. make sure it's a full sbf with 300+MB and not those partial sbf with only 100-150MB

new Li-Polymer batteries no need charge 8 hours anymore, unlike the NiCd days. first time charge full then see the drain. if good, i might just get one, since the only shitty thing about the whole phone now is the batteries. other than that, AOKP kinda rocks

are you running 3G all the time or 2G? if 2G only and 12 hour left 15%, then i guess the battery is as shitty as the others

well, there are many xda users running a day or two on this 1500 mAh battery, and i did run 26 hours before, but that's really just pure CM7. prefer to run MIUI which used to give me at least 20 hours, but due to the nature of my job, i always charge at night.

now, the shitty battery is giving me only 14 hours before starting to go below 15% so i definitely prefer something longer lasting

since you're still on 2.1 check any task killer apps that you may have installed. i honestly think that a little flashing and installation will bring a world of good to your defy. i mean, seriously, 2.1??

green lens use 2.9.9...i'm using it at the moment...nice but a bit slow....better use the GB stable one by WIUI

red lens use the GB kernel, green lens use Froyo kernel. which is why red lens use 2.9.10 while green lens use 2.9.9
