gluck. flashing sbf was the 1st thing i do when i got my defy for sole purpose of removing motoblur

actually my frens defy spoilt. speaker no sound... and he bring to senQ to RMA but staff there said warranty already void coz he use custom rom anad they refuse to accept... but they also not record his serial no and receipt when he visit...

so i help him flash sbf and this evening he sent the fon to RMA sucessfully... but with different staff...

take 2-3 weeks

Hi need help from all the sifus here. The story is like this.. i own a defy (non plus red lens) and was on MSginger3.0 but decided to flashed 4.5.1-134_DFP-1321 ASIA RETAIL (FULL GB SBF) thinking i can downgrade it using the guide HERE but unfortunately i can't. I followed the steps exactly as mention (Step 1) but stuck on a blank screen (no red moto logo) after flashing the unique eclair SBF. My defy still can be deteced by RSDLite as OMAP 3630. I can only flash back this DFP-1321 ASIA RETAIL to bring my phone back to live. Now i'm stuck on this ROM and can't go back to froyo. I have also tried restoring my old froyo nandroid backup but still stuck on the blank screen. Currently still using this stucked ROM but have already ROOTED it and installed 2ndinit. Any way that i can downgrade back to froyo or i'm stucked forever ?

restore nandroid backup which include the fixed sbf... do u have any?

I only have the nandroid backup but not the fixed sbf.

U said u did try the official SEA 2.2 SBF file at front page.

Also wipe dalvik cache data.. right??

my 1st time actaully.... 1st try wait wait wait......... still not PASS

it include nandroid + fixed sbf

alternatively u can create fixed sbf yourself by using stock sbf same as your nandroid backup

Yea but i just flashed the normal full sbf not the fixed and rooted one.

Hi, i installed cm 7 on my defy. but after flashing "Full SBF for SEA 15 - OFFICIAL RE-RELEASE! 3.4.3-36-1.7" I forgot to save a nandroid backup before installing cm. So now i am wondering can i still go back to stock SBF 3.4.3-36-1.7 ???? or do i need someone to upload a nandroid backup for me ??

I restored the nandroid backup and flashed the fixed sbf but still stuck..

What did i do wrong ? I did these steps:

From the Asia DFP-1321 > Root > Install 2ndinit > Boot into recovery > wipe data > wipe cache > wipe dalvik > restore nandroid backup > go into bootloader mode > flash the fixed sbf (?) > blank screen + white LED

Hmm is it because i flashed a defy plus ROM to a non plus defy ?

I think you can flash back using the full SBF with RSDlite.

guys my phone de left part of screen cannot touch liao...is it digitizer problem? wanna send back for warranty
@salimbest:when u send ur defy for warranty did u flash stock SBF?

go into recovery and disable 2nd init.use normal boot.

just flash to SEA official will do .

it depend on your provider, i bought from starhub which has their own build, so i need to install official starhub's firmware. if not, just use other official SEA firmware

hurm...mine is singapore set...is it reli hardware problem? cuz i dun1 send for warranty cuz it will take time
