The double tap to wake up the phone thing. Sometime it need a heavier double tap to work or several try. So is there any setting to increase sensitivity?

QUOTE(pikacu @ Apr 3 2012, 07:40 PM) What do you mean? Off charger and normal use. I distinctively remember I don't have to tap so hard before the Clear Device but I am not 100% sure. Now, sometimes, I have to tap pretty hard or repeat a couple of time to wake the phone up. So any sensitivity setting for double tap? |

QUOTE(eaglehelang @ Apr 3 2012, 07:59 PM) I have found it happens when I click the side button to lock the screen(sometimes, other times no prob whether it auto lock or click button to lock. Need to tap hard to unlock, or, use the side button to unlock. Whether it's charging or not, no difference. Tap the middle or near the top of the phone is better in such situation. Phone went to sleep automatically when times up. Did not use the lock button.Could be the phone in the middle of some processes when it was locked I usually tap at the middle of the screen. No screen protector. Doesn't matter in air cond room or no air cond room so finger's humidity should not be a factor. |

QUOTE(KennyKB @ Apr 21 2012, 02:34 PM) How about using GTalk? Every Android owner has a Google account. If you are messaging with an iphone owner try Skype or facebook chat. With a WP7 owner (rare breed) use Windows Live. Yahoo Messenger, ICQ and Jabber are other IM clients you can use. With N8, I find Whatapps uses less battery power compared to Skype but even then, my phone can't last a full working day. With Skype, even worst. The dependence on Whatsapp is due to habit and unnecessary. This isn't even a free app and you have to run it in the background while all the IM clients I mentioned are integrated into MeeGo OS. But with the N9 and Skype, it can. Either N9 uses power more effectively due to better integration or the bigger battery helps. Not sure which one. |

QUOTE(Andy214 @ Apr 23 2012, 11:48 AM) When there're no more Symbian phones from Nokia, that's when things get worst. Will those Nokia users who are still using Symbian right now switch to Windows Phone? Or will they go for other platforms. If they have to go through those restrictions and limitations, most likely they will choose iPhone? If they want flexibility like their current Symbian, their only choice is Android. I wonder what will happen when the time comes. Will Microsoft loosen up their Windows Phone OS? Can Nokia make any changes or difference? It's critical moment as they're loosing Customers everyday. You can even see how many Lumia owners are selling off their devices. Based on LYN forum thread, Nokia N8 thread was so darn hot BEFORE even it was launch. Just look at the reception of Nokia Symbian phones against Lumia phones, it's just so huge difference. Even Maemo and MeeGo thread was better than Lumia. |

QUOTE(KennyKB @ Apr 24 2012, 06:04 PM) Yes, it's true iphone has the same restrictions but users don't complain. I don't know why. When it comes to Apple their users are very tolerant. No FM radio also can, This is one of the great mysteries of the universe. This is easy to explain. To non-technical person or newbies, they are simply mesmerized by the ease and responsiveness of iphone. Anyone who have used older Nokia will know Nokia were super super laggy in comparison. So they all flock to iphone. |

They are effectively saying "We know what the customer wanted and they don't want Android".I could say this is the end of Nokia, r.i.p A successfully marketer will however say "I will give whatever the customer wanted and if they want Android, I will give them Android phone". |

QUOTE(tonberry_ax @ Apr 30 2012, 09:51 AM) N9 drive is a failure, it doesn't have more option like symbian does. By default it only provides you the fastest route only, in other words, u cant take shortcut to reach the destination but have to use highway all the way. Your can compare it with ur symbian devices I have N8 and N9. Yes, N8 running Symbian is better. I have huge problem with N9's Maps/Favorites. |

They don't even have Skype video for Symbian so what chance does a orphan like Meego has?"...confirmed that the update is small, but it would contain many surprises." Wonder what kind of surprise. Skype video call maybe? |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ May 19 2012, 08:58 AM) Here what it means la the definition of speed This question has always been in my mind.2G GPRS: 56Kbit/s 2.5G EDGE: 236.8 kbit/s 3G UMTS: 384 kbit/s 3.5G HSDPA: 14,400 kbit/s - 14.4 Mb 4G: faster than above can reach 100mbps if telco allow (Needs a 4G phone like Nokia Lumia 900) For video call 3G and above required. 3G consume more battery compare to 2.5G so if u are not doing any extreme internet stuff using data packet switch to 2G to prolong battery life Assuming your 2G signal is weaker than 3G, will 2G uses more battery power? |
