Maybe you have to do "Restore Settings" . If that doesnt work, then "Clear Device". All my videos can play properly - that's those which can play from PR 1.1 to now.

The update via NSU is finally done,OTA was stuck at 90% & couldnt re-download. Good news for those same situation, videos, pics, music, documents all intact. Bad news, lost the Cute Tube app, it's not listed in Ovi Store anymore or the developer still trying to tweak it to PR 1.3

use the 'screen capture' app, free from ovi store. There are a few more such apps, look around in the store

PR 1.3 should be last official update, all the meego staff kena retrench already. Further updates, apps, fixes will come from the community, maybe that new company Jolla

On the phone or the silicon case? So far, no such stains on my 64GB black silicone case. I hardly take off the case, so dont think any permanent stains will get to the phone. Is yours the 2nd hand one? Perhaps the previous owner got coffee on it

If using alcohol doesnt work, try sodium bicarbonate. Rendam the case inside, phone cannot. If dont have that, if you daring, use klorox, but only as last resort.
This is only for stain, if stratch liao, then need to kikis off the stratched part

How did the previous owner got the phone stratched? didnt use case? Buy the cyan or magenta silicone case, ori one cost RM69 I think. Non ori ones very plastic looking.
Oh yeah, can also buy Lumia 800 ones BUT need to cut a hole for the camera, N9 & L800 camera hole different place. L800 cases have more choices though.

That one can wipe off easily. Unless the owner drop the phone at wrong angle or stained it. I also dont take it out of the silicone casing.
There are people in Maemo forum who complained black N9 got stain marks on the usb, sim card tray door. Maybe chemical reaction depending on the working environment. Some people work in factory, mechanic, deal with some sort of chemical. They touch chemical, touch phone...

chaukeng, your N9 doesnt look that bad lah. I was expecting it to be full of stains and scratches

Change the screen protector. I always put screen protector since I carry 2 devices. The gorilla glass can get scratched more easily due to curved glass
There have reports of it getting cracked after only 1 fall.

you mean sociality app? I dont use it. Maybe not compatible with PR1.3, cute tube still havent re-appear in nokia store. Did u enable the install from non store prog, from settings

Since you mention it, I tested with mine, no stutter. I shake2 the phone, move around the house, from dark room to brightly lit room. Purposely play a video on PC and and fast forward it, record that on my N9, it ok.It's on HD, 720p.

When you install PR 1.3, is it slower than usual? Maybe you have re-install thru NSU or do the 'clear device' thingy. Make sure you back up 1st

Delta said it happen during video Recording, when record got stutter. Not abt playing. Could the faster n9 nebo is talking abt, I didnt install that app

I am not PC expert, video expert nor camera expert. You just need to be PC literate, willing to spend time learning, copying, downloading. N9, what attracted me 1st was of course the swipppee. Now I get into the habit of swiping my other phones, haha. Social intergration one of the best. Smooth & nice to use. Plus - true multi tasking, just go back the screen and tap. I use it to browse the net, check emails, check FB, twitter, watch videos, listen music.

Cons Since you mention entertainment, N9 cannot play 720p(means HD) and RMVB, it can play Xvid, 480p format. Most of the vids I download are Xvid, smaller file size anyway, so no prob for me. RMVB are for the TVB series. So, need to convert lor

Documents, I vaguely remember a document editor was released, but since I dont use it, dont recall. Read documents is ok. If you want the 16GB, chose between cyan and magenta. If you intend to store a lot of videos & music, get the 64GB, but hard to find nowadays.

hahaha, pikacu giving the cons. For younger age group, as in 15-25 group, its all apps, apps. Applies to others who change smartphone often too.

If user is avid chatter then might feel miss out as now whatsapp block Registration of wazzapp. I give the excuse will eat up my data usage, use sms instead since got free sms if same operator.

If not, the comments will go 'where's the button to go back? Just tap?'

Added on July 26, 2012, 8:26 pmThanks for the info. KM player can play rmvb, mkv 720p no go. The sound dont sync with the visuals, sound is always 1 or 2 ahead. That's expected, its already been explained before N9 cant play 720p and above due to the chip thingy

If you already register before Whatsapp company block it, then just re-download from wazzap site. Can work, my PR 1.3 was thru NSU as the OTA didnt work. Of course, if you miss the boat in registering, then..... need to go talk maemo forum & read all the long way how to register thru Symbian or Nitroid.

Why digi sim card got prob? The contact part different? Looks the same to me.
