N9 browser better than Opera? Not to me. Opera has text reflow so you can adjust the font size without sentences being chopped off. You can also set the Opera agent to desktop so you see exactly what you see on a PC instead of being kicked to a mobile site.

I used to use N9 stock browser only but have changed my default to Opera now as I can't stand a few issues with stock browser anymore. I still use stock browser for watching Youtube videos though. Opera now loads almost as fast as stock browser so there's no issue with that.

Yes Opera still have loading issues in some websites but it's minimal. Besides u do not actually have to bookmark the websites again in Opera. Once u set Opera as default, any saved bookmark in N9 opens in Opera. One thing I prefer in Opera is the scrolling which doesn't show checkerboard pattern like in stock browser. Opera also eats less memory & does not seem to have memory leak issue.

Nope, because N9 operate hotspot based on ad hoc network...android only detect infrastrtucre network unless you root and change some file.

meego and wp8 which one is better platform?

i like n9 because of its superb multitasking and efficient gps. dont like my android gps papago, so troublesome to use in car, have to stop for a while just to initialize signal towards gps satellite.haih. is wp8 better than meego n9 in term of multitasking and gps navigation?

it's all down to personal preference, and how overall the ecosystem is being controlled. iOS for instance, is an example that closed source can also be successful if done right. Overall closed source, if done right, will give u a more consistent user experience, potentially better performance with the proprietary drivers and stuffs. Open source in the other hand will give u options like you're in a buffet, don't like this dish? try another dish, there's always that one dish that will suit u eventually. But sometimes people doesnt need those, they aren't aware of the 'options' they have, neither they have the knowledge to pick those options, like custom roms on android for instance, many say it's nice, but even more didn't dare to try, or didnt even know how to flash one, or didnt even heard of it.

but as for N9, I can only say... hardware is dated, and although harsh, there're only that many experience u can have with the hardware on N9, if you are trully interested in meego, just pay tight attention on Jolla
