QUOTE(gyugu @ Aug 16 2012, 10:48 AM) ok2..noted. Thanks everyone for your help. I think i'll come here often after i get the phone. thanks again. you guys are awesome The stock browser is smooth enuf for me. Anyway, u can try both and choose the browser u prefer. Firefox will drain battery faster cos of the flash player. Cutetube is to download youtube vids. Deciding between 64GB and 16GB, depends on whether u want to store a lot of music or vids. BUT, with 64GB getting more and more harder to find, unless u willing to search all over, u might end up with the 16GB, hahaha. This post has been edited by eaglehelang: Aug 16 2012, 02:09 PM |

QUOTE(gyugu @ Aug 16 2012, 10:01 AM) noted thanks, u mention about online seller, do you know any trusted one? I search at lazada and superbuy but no n9. other place I'm scared kena tipu Go to Nokia authorised dealer and ask or phone them. Their addresses are in Nokia Malaysia website. The last I check, 2 months ago, 16GB was 1,299, 64GB 1599. You can try PM the forumer Gravityfield(sthing like that), he bought a new 64GB recently, maybe can recommend where he bought it. Btw, you attracted to n9 is cos of the swipe? Multitasking? Not to busybody, there are people who buy then regret cos its DOA OS blah blah. If u use whatsapp, whatsapp co block registration for wazapp(the ported meego version of whatsapp). There are ways around that, the sifus here can teach u. N9 has limited apps and games if compared to Android, Iphone. If these two not must haves for u, then ok. |

QUOTE(gyugu @ Aug 17 2012, 12:16 PM) I read this post and the reply so i check the warranty sticker at the charger, the phone looks new but there's some scratch at the part where you tarik to put sim card and the packaging is a bit buruk, and the box already open and took the phone from the display section and you know the part we pull out the box, you can see kesan selalu kena tarik. 10.2011.34-1_PR_005 meaning? Sabar, take out the warranty card, look at the date. It supposed to start from the date you bought it. The sticker you see is most probably the date it was shipped to the dealer. N9 was launched Oct/Nov 2011. The box may be opened if the dealer wanted to test the device. The dealer I buy from always test the devices before selling to customer. Check the usb cable, headphones, all wrapped in plastic and tie nicely? The silicone case look brand new?ah really? they do it like that? haha silly but apt lol I'm afraid kena tipu, used set but kata new then warranty abis no use. but since andy214 said that So, i don't have to worry about warranty then? on another note, how to check life timer? If authorised dealer, listed in Nokia Malaysia website, they cannot sell used device at new price. BUT you can try return, say you dont want a display unit but brand new one. The prob is they might say no more stock and very hard to orxer, etc. If that case, try demand for freebies like case, headphones. You already pay, hard to lower price, only thing make some noise This post has been edited by eaglehelang: Aug 17 2012, 01:19 PM |

wazapp : http://www.wazapp.im/
If cannot register, scroll a few pages back, there is a way around it. Tap on top of the N9, where there's sign og Maxis/Digi/Celcom. You will see a drop down menu, the 1st icon is the one. If you connected to wifi now, you can see it connected to XXX. |

QUOTE(LimYiHui @ Aug 17 2012, 04:58 PM) One week ago Not Nokia but whatsapp company dont want to release a meego version. So, tgalal ported over ....named wazapp. That's also why the whatsapp co block new registration, cos it's not official version, in the 1st place they dont want to release, what to do, people have to design one for Meego Added on August 17, 2012, 6:33 pm QUOTE(tonberry_ax @ Aug 17 2012, 05:44 PM) If you already registered earlier, before whatsapp block it, no problem, it will recognise. Only new registrations, either use Symbian way or Android way, some of the sifus here listed the steps. Seems less complicated than the one in talk maemo. This post has been edited by eaglehelang: Aug 17 2012, 06:33 PM |

QUOTE(Nephrite @ Aug 31 2012, 09:15 PM) Your colour is black and you want to change to cyan ? Black also can be stained, from the silicone case. The black one harder to clean the stains it seems. If dont use case,no protection if phone drop. N9's curve glass easier to crack than the normal flat ones. After you change tell me the price because i dont know the price i also want to change to black colour imma dont like cyan because easy dirty. Today when i wash car and i got phone calls. When that time i washing tyre its black on my hand so i hold the phone and its turn dirty behind abit dirty. I manage to clean it by using rubber to rub away the dirty stain and now its clean back. I want to change to black also. |

QUOTE(Nephrite @ Sep 3 2012, 06:35 PM) Yup, the Meego team in Nokia has been retrenched. Most went and together set up Jolla. We may see new phones in future with Meego/Maemo, but updates for N9 specifically, nope. But I think there will be people coming out with new apps/features...like wazzap. People have come up with quite a number of useful apps already, like KM player, backlighter, some calculators This post has been edited by eaglehelang: Sep 3 2012, 08:24 PM |

QUOTE(Nephrite @ Sep 3 2012, 10:39 PM) They left Nokia n9 behind so sad. Same like HTC left HTC desire HD behind. :-( If you're interested in Lumia, might as well wait for the WP8 version. The WP 7.5 cant be upgraded to WP8. And thought you said you just bought your N9 recently. Enjoy it first.Who want to buy my Nokia n9. Imma selling soon because gonna venture into lumia 900. |

QUOTE(Nephrite @ Sep 4 2012, 06:21 AM) WP8 need to wait very long oh currently not many device out only with WP8. Wow, you change target so fast, lol. I'm still enjoying it, time fly fast, almost 1 year anniversary of N9 launch.Nvm if Nokia N9 have stable jelly bean i think i will stay with it. I am scare to bring 2 phone out in 1 time Malaysia rob case is very high already. I want to reduce back to 1 phone usage already. Me gonna use it a month or 2 then see which one my next target. Like the others said, check out carefully bf jump to WP. Read the 101 reasons why should not buy WP7.5, refering to lumia 800. I was surprised features I take for granted in Nokia, Lumia dont have. The one that strike me the most is Lumia cannot charge when phone is off, i.e battery dead. If L800, battery not user replaceable, teruk lah. This strike me cos I stimes use my N9 until no battery, it turn off by itself. I can imagine the shock I would have felt if I'm L800 owner in same situation, hahaha. Added on September 4, 2012, 3:42 pm QUOTE(Nephrite @ Sep 4 2012, 12:31 PM) Other than dolby any other sound system can be install inside N9 ? Dolby effect is nice when using headphones, N9 speaker so so only. Songs can hear the bass and instruments well, movies also, as good as listening with my desktop speakers. In settings i already enable dolby. QUOTE(zachary22_77 @ Sep 4 2012, 03:42 PM) Though I'm no big fan of Lumia, I can tell you that Lumia cannot charge when phone is off is completely wrong. I've confirmed with friends (very few) who use Lumia that charging works when phone is off. It's impossible that Nokia & MS can be THAT stupid to sell phone that can't be charged when turned off right? Since ppl accidently run out of battery all the time, then MS & Nokia have to replace their phones each time? LOL!!! Ok, thanks for the clarification. Weird though its in that 101 list and there are users who confirm cannot charge when Lumia phone is off -these are WP fans too. This includes some L800 owners in the L800 thread. Maybe they updated the firmware after people complain.http://gadgets.itwriting.com/869-what-to-d...ot-turn-on.html This post has been edited by eaglehelang: Sep 4 2012, 04:00 PM |

QUOTE(zachary22_77 @ Sep 4 2012, 04:08 PM) I guess they fixed this with firmware updates, but the ppl I know that use Lumia wasn't using L800, they were using L710. Maybe it was an issue with L800 only? L710 can take out the battery mah, so not such a big problem. In the L800 thread, got forumers complained abt this, I think it was the earlier buyers. Btw, charging when no battery and when phone off but still got battery is different it seems. When N9 auto turn off, the battery not totally zero. After some minutes, can still turn back on, as long dont use 3G, watch video or any battery eating activity. This post has been edited by eaglehelang: Sep 4 2012, 05:38 PM |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Sep 6 2012, 03:15 PM) Weird since the announcement of the Nokia 920 my Flickr got close to 7,000 hits a day viewing my Nokia 808 photos lol Sifu, your pics high quality leh. We wait till the 920 come out, then there will be more comparisons, then your album even more popular. Added on September 6, 2012, 5:06 pmZachary, you do know that both aspire and andy have the 808 and have tested it upside down, left, right, center? Haha. As layman, reading the summary, I scratch my head with the 8MP pureview with no SDcard. Nokia has no intentions making 920 anyhing close to a cameraphone. Just making sound more terror. Btw sifus, are we ever going to have new thread for our beloved N9? No 4 is pantang? This post has been edited by eaglehelang: Sep 6 2012, 05:08 PM |

QUOTE(Yung_Psyke @ Sep 25 2012, 12:28 AM) Anyone here facing any battery life problems?, How often did you set the auto updates? Every hour, 4 hours? Even at night, it will auto connect to fetch updates, hence tbe drop in battery level. You might want to try switch to flight mode every night & see.Mine charged to 100% at night, it would be about ~88% by the time i wake up and the phone drinks up the battery like water... I changed my network mode to GSM only, turned off standby screen and put a dark wallpaper and have my phone on power saving mode all the time and now full charge lasts the whole day with texting, camera, calls and some browsing using wifi I find that power saving and non power saving abt the same battery usage, power save mode more troublesome as it will keep asking whether want to connect online. With 3G mode, 60% brightness, no power save,my n9 can easily last 12 to 14 hours, depending how many hours I use the 3G internet. But I hardly use wazzap, that could be a factor too.
