On N9, the latest Cutetube update, what news things does it have? I keep getting update failed. Maybe another day try download again.

The stock browser is smooth enuf for me. Anyway, u can try both and choose the browser u prefer. Firefox will drain battery faster cos of the flash player. Cutetube is to download youtube vids.

Deciding between 64GB and 16GB, depends on whether u want to store a lot of music or vids. BUT, with 64GB getting more and more harder to find, unless u willing to search all over, u might end up with the 16GB, hahaha.

Go to Nokia authorised dealer and ask or phone them. Their addresses are in Nokia Malaysia website.
The last I check, 2 months ago, 16GB was 1,299, 64GB 1599. You can try PM the forumer Gravityfield(sthing like that), he bought a new 64GB recently, maybe can recommend where he bought it.

Btw, you attracted to n9 is cos of the swipe? Multitasking? Not to busybody, there are people who buy then regret cos its DOA OS blah blah.
If u use whatsapp, whatsapp co block registration for wazapp(the ported meego version of whatsapp). There are ways around that, the sifus here can teach u.
N9 has limited apps and games if compared to Android, Iphone. If these two not must haves for u, then ok.

Sabar, take out the warranty card, look at the date. It supposed to start from the date you bought it. The sticker you see is most probably the date it was shipped to the dealer. N9 was launched Oct/Nov 2011. The box may be opened if the dealer wanted to test the device. The dealer I buy from always test the devices before selling to customer. Check the usb cable, headphones, all wrapped in plastic and tie nicely? The silicone case look brand new?

If authorised dealer, listed in Nokia Malaysia website, they cannot sell used device at new price. BUT you can try return, say you dont want a display unit but brand new one. The prob is they might say no more stock and very hard to orxer,etc. If that case, try demand for freebies like case, headphones. You already pay, hard to lower price, only thing make some noise

If cannot register, scroll a few pages back, there is a way around it.

Tap on top of the N9, where there's sign og Maxis/Digi/Celcom. You will see a drop down menu, the 1st icon is the one. If you connected to wifi now, you can see it connected to XXX.

Not Nokia but whatsapp company dont want to release a meego version. So, tgalal ported over ....named wazapp.
That's also why the whatsapp co block new registration, cos it's not official version, in the 1st place they dont want to release, what to do, people have to design one for Meego

Added on August 17, 2012, 6:33 pmIf you already registered earlier, before whatsapp block it, no problem, it will recognise. Only new registrations, either use Symbian way or Android way, some of the sifus here listed the steps. Seems less complicated than the one in talk maemo.

Anything 720p it cant play or stutter.

Black also can be stained, from the silicone case. The black one harder to clean the stains it seems. If dont use case,no protection if phone drop. N9's curve glass easier to crack than the normal flat ones.

Yup, the Meego team in Nokia has been retrenched. Most went and together set up Jolla. We may see new phones in future with Meego/Maemo, but updates for N9 specifically, nope.
But I think there will be people coming out with new apps/features...like wazzap. People have come up with quite a number of useful apps already, like KM player, backlighter, some calculators

If you're interested in Lumia, might as well wait for the WP8 version. The WP 7.5 cant be upgraded to WP8. And thought you said you just bought your N9 recently. Enjoy it first.

Wow, you change target so fast, lol. I'm still enjoying it, time fly fast, almost 1 year anniversary of N9 launch.
Like the others said, check out carefully bf jump to WP. Read the 101 reasons why should not buy WP7.5, refering to lumia 800. I was surprised features I take for granted in Nokia, Lumia dont have. The one that strike me the most is Lumia cannot charge when phone is off, i.e battery dead. If L800, battery not user replaceable, teruk lah. This strike me cos I stimes use my N9 until no battery, it turn off by itself. I can imagine the shock I would have felt if I'm L800 owner in same situation, hahaha.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. Weird though its in that 101 list and there are users who confirm cannot charge when Lumia phone is off -these are WP fans too. This includes some L800 owners in the L800 thread. Maybe they updated the firmware after people complain.

L710 can take out the battery mah, so not such a big problem. In the L800 thread, got forumers complained abt this, I think it was the earlier buyers. Btw, charging when no battery and when phone off but still got battery is different it seems.
When N9 auto turn off, the battery not totally zero. After some minutes, can still turn back on, as long dont use 3G, watch video or any battery eating activity.

As layman, reading the summary, I scratch my head with the 8MP pureview with no SDcard. Nokia has no intentions making 920 anyhing close to a cameraphone. Just making sound more terror.

No,no, not all N9 users. For those who wazzap a lot, they will comment on it, thats why seem like important to everyone. I seldom use whatsapp/wazzap, so wouldnt comment. You all say got prob then onlt I know, lol

How often did you set the auto updates? Every hour, 4 hours? Even at night, it will auto connect to fetch updates, hence tbe drop in battery level. You might want to try switch to flight mode every night & see.
I find that power saving and non power saving abt the same battery usage,power save mode more troublesome as it will keep asking whether want to connect online.

With 3G mode, 60% brightness, no power save,my n9 can easily last 12 to 14 hours, depending how many hours I use the 3G internet. But I hardly use wazzap, that could be a factor too.

Pikacu, of course lah N9 stock browser better, can swipe2 some more. Prefer it to Opera. If need flash, then only use firefox. 808 is geng in camera,I can practice photography skills, hopefully 1 day can be as good as some sifus in this forum.
