in shah alam it wus bad..9.3 - 9.4 per 100km i think..its just d roads n drivers der..too much braking sweat.gif
bt on d highway wus round rm70 x 15 / 6400km -1..
so 35 liter x 15 fuel up = 525
525/6400^-1 = 12.1905

wah? is dat ryte? can dat b possible? or i mess up d calc..bt its plus minus dat..
*
Wrong calculation. Should be [(70/1.90) x 15]/ 6400*100 = 8.63 liter/100km.

Talking about stock ekzos, why some claim that their's can produce water while mine is freaking dry? Anybody got a hint?
*
Sometimes mb they sent to car wash the sohai fella spray water inside.. I used to do that to my dad's car when i was small too.. haha.. fill the whole exhaust with water then after that go start the car.. boom - instant water cannon.. :D
Some claims that the exhaust can produce water is due to cold starting in the morning and the water condensation will vapourise and steam will come out of the exhaust.

QUOTE(junhowe @ Feb 22 2012, 11:00 AM)
Hi guys, new member here, just received my pe yesterday evening after a long dead month ,chiffon green,h-line.

Would like to enquire what is the prefered tyre pressure for comfort wise and which fuel gives more milage and performance.?petronas /shell..?

Thanks sifus  :)
*
CAltex best smoothest engine.. Esso for best mileage..
If u want to speed on highway above 130kmh - Caltex
Mostly driving below 130kmh - Esso gives best mileage
Petronas is underpowered at high range
Shell is underpowered the whole range..
Cold weather best to use is Caltex, go up genting time the power damn cun..

Tire pressure try 235kpa front and 210 kpa back then slowly reduce by 5kpa till u are ok with the comfort..
But the best i tried is 235kpa front and 210kpa back lah.. Becareful bout the back cos if u hard brake the tail might slide..

QUOTE(VincentChen @ Feb 22 2012, 11:19 AM)
mine also, when i collect car, my exhaust shoot water, then 2nd day no more shooting water liao
me pump front 235 back 215 :D
caltex fuel? so hard to find leh :x my mom keep call me pump shell, i wanna pump petronas also she kecoh, cause she no belif local company :x , i rike petronas, anywhere also can find
*
Pump Esso also can lah.. Petronas not really that good also. only below 3k rpm good.. above that engine noisy and power so so only. .

How is the grip for ur current tires and road noise for it? Then i can compare with other tires lah..

Hmm 1k for tires = RM250 a piece.. Thats quite good budget.. CAn get good tires..
Tips from me. ( my preference is for sporty drive with moderate tire noise but good grip and handling)
Avoid Yokohamas, avoid CC5, avoid silverstone also avoid roadstone
Try Hankook V8 ventus, per tire RM190 only for promo last time, now shd be RM210.. (If want location PM me) - Good grip, quite quiet
Nexen N6000, price around 200 also.. Quiet and grippy
Goodyear Directional 5 - Very good grip, but cant make comment on tire noise cos tested it on Vios. Price RM250
Toyo Proxes T1-R - King of wet roads and grip well - but tires wear out very fast - RM270

Ahh enuf lah.. See other tire brands u interested can ask me see see if i tried b4.. Cant rmb all.. I not fubar elephant brain..

yea..rotated twice ady..10k km then 20k km..first was cross X then front to back..went for work in terrengannu n after coming back from noticed it wus leanin to the right..
30k service n allignment plus 6400km later..this happens..dunno wut to make of it...bt the tire's grip wus great while it lasted..after changin to 15" sport rims..
noise also easily cancelled out by the engine noise i think..unless d roads are bad..
only problem to me is if its wet..d grip feels lost..i feel a lil nervous in d car..dun dare go over 110km..

bdw, thanks for d advice..goin out to kota kemuning nw the survey prices n stocks..2nd hand tires no problem right? as long as thread is good?..

Do note, these pressures are the recommended "cold" pressure before you're tyre warm up. By the time you hit the station, it will be abt 220 to 240 depending on how far you go. After longer drive, pressure not accurate liao but usually jumped up to abt 240 from 210. So for balanced pressure, its best to pump 230 to 235 front and 215 rearfor a short drive to cater for warm air difference.

I wouldnt really recommend 2nd hand tires unless u plan to go for track racing or drifting.. Cos u dont know the wear rate of the tire.. Manautau u get lemon tire then u always need to do alignment and ended up wasting more money..
Im using NS500 too.. Dry grip way better than CC5, wet grip also quite poor though.. But for me NS500 is a noisy tire.. If u can tahan the noise then 90% of the tires in market also u can tahan ady..

Hmm then ur best bet is Petronas.. Actually Shell also good in their own ways.. For me I can tahan shell too.. But u really need to be light footed and dont expect too much on power.. Then u can have the best mileage compared to any other petrol for City driving.
LOL Sri petaling no straight road to drag. But there is a road near subang airport there.. Hmm mb can try.. 5km of straight drag strip..

Shell ok lar. I use Shell mostly with occassional Esso (my fav). Using Esso do tend to give better mileage but as for power, I don't feel any difference between Shell and Esso in reality.
