QUOTE(wildrestark @ Aug 28 2013, 11:06 PM) nope this is Germany brand previously but acquired by China Businessman , technology acquisition is still from German. The built and robust is not the same as one thinks that China brand is inferior. it's one of the cheapest for a powerful impact drill. the charger is so cool and it came with LED lights. Beat the Bosch anytime in term of design wise. Best of all is the 1 year warranty , 6 months for battery. There is too many unknown brand coming out from the market this 2 yrs. Some is too cheap till I don't no can trust it for safety or not.

QUOTE(wildrestark @ Aug 29 2013, 10:22 AM) don't worry, i have researched in depth before i jump into buying this. Europe they called Worx , in USA they call Rockwell. Although , it's not one of the popular one in USA like Kennedy or Dewalt. This brand seems like catching up. I do like Bosch but most of their latest models were sold at high price here and some models not even on the shelf. The Worx have all the latest features which Bosch also have in USA but im not sure if WORX is the first in 3 in 1 Drill. The brand you mention are mostly for household use. In industries and construction, they use mostly Makita or Hilti. This are more tough and last longer. Bosch even can't match. If I can afford, Hilti is my first choice.

QUOTE(wildrestark @ Aug 29 2013, 02:25 PM) maybe so if specs are the main concern here but i think if the bills paid by companies, of course i pay more to get highest specs but i just like the 3 in 1 functions for now. im not sure if bosch , makita or dewalt have figured out this functions since its so convenient to change the bits when you are at higher altitude like roof or fixing pergola. Yes, each brand have this chucking drill. Read back previous page in this topic. Even Jinxx cordless makita set is using this chucking. I prefer the drill type chucking as the drilling more precise. Those brand I mention is base on my usage experience.

QUOTE(ERN2 @ Aug 29 2013, 02:38 PM) What sander are you having now? the velco can be changed ma. No more sander. Just use hand. Anyway seldom use now. Another problem is, the center screw that tight the round circular always loose out. Cause it cannot turn but the motor keep running. No more bosch orbiting sander for me.

QUOTE(ERN2 @ Aug 29 2013, 03:37 PM) same kink of orbitual sander. No make me wander.....should I or Should I not. Actually I also can use the 1998 carefour drill for this task. I have the velco pad already. so maybe save the paper for other tools. Ha, the drill now have 1 more task. from hand drill to drill press, now sander, maybe later a lathes. Orbiting sander can do job faster. The sanding cover larger area. Because the way it turn like orbit. The bosch that I use have a dust tray behind. Which will collect the dust while sanding.

QUOTE(Eng_Tat @ Aug 29 2013, 09:04 PM) I thought hilti and hitachi is different separate entity? I m not sure is it separate entity. But I read somewhere Hilti short form for Hitachi tools. I might be wrong. Anyway, Hilti is 1 hell of a good product. They have been in power tools for freaking longtime. My uncle have a 750w Hilti impact drill which is 30yrs old. Still in good condition. Sometime I borrow from him when my 450w bosch impact drill cannot penetrate the wall. Specially those concrete wall. I have a Hilti bench drilling pass it down from my parent keep in the store room. It is 40yrs+ old. Still running good. Freaking heavy. But really stable.

QUOTE(wildrestark @ Aug 29 2013, 09:52 PM) hi ozak, im not sure if we are comparing apple vs apple or apple vs orange . im noob here but when i see the corded one which you compared in the link i wonder if this comparison suit the needs of the user. Corded one has the advantage of continuos used , the cordless with 2 batteries may expire in time too but it's portable anywhere. if it's the cordless type, does the makita or hitachi brand came with lithium ion battery? my last check , these battery easily cost more than the old type. This Worx which cost RM 670 has 2 lithium ion battery and cordless. most important is that we compare the same 3 in 1, lithium ion batt 2 pcs , what else... maybe home use range as i think those meant for construction one probably more durable . im not sure ,but my experience in holding Skil driver really awful due to the weight and poor holding power in drill bits. I point out to Jinxx makita cordless set (follow my link than scroll down to jinxx new toy). He brought it for rm750+ with a nice casing, 2set of cordless drill and a torch light. It is Lion battery. Cordless drill shouldn't be cost that high. Given it have limited power and usage. Average range rm300-400. For rm670, I will get a corded makita or bosch 750w rotary impact drill. Which can do far more job and demolition. You can read at bahathir thread power tools.

Buying cordless drill must makesure is Lit-ion battery already. No more nicad. Lit ion give more power and charge faster.

QUOTE(idoblu @ May 9 2014, 11:37 AM) guys, is this any good? can find less than Rm200 just need it for light jobs like assembling Ikea stuff I wonder if I can fit socket wrench attachments to it? Should be good enough for screw. What is the max torque ? Normally screw torque around 20-50N start from small screw. You can get a socket wrench adaptor. But tighten socket wrench need higher torque.

QUOTE(idoblu @ May 9 2014, 11:58 AM) here you go - http://www.bosch-pt.com.my/my/en/professio...r-prodrive.htmli dont know where to look for "torque"....hehehe or do I need an impact driver? If you want an drill/impact capability, the size is bigger. Than for screwing, will need a bit muscle to control. This lightseries maybe ok --> http://www.bosch-pt.com.my/my/en/professio...ightseries.htmlIf you want light handling drill/screw, this one more value for money --> http://www.bosch-pt.com.my/my/en/professio...-10-8-2-li.htmlNot that big size. But more torque for drilling. And select able torque control for screwing. The torque write down at Techincal data. (Torque Max).
