QUOTE(wakalah @ Mar 9 2012, 02:03 PM) Proton eyes 1,000 bookings for new P3-21A Aiming high, I see, and they have not even reveal the name of the car.National car manufacturer, Proton Holdings Bhd, expects to secure about 1,000 bookings for its highly-anticipated new model, P3-21A, at the five-day "Power of 1" event next week. "Bookings for the soon-to-be-launched global car will start from March 14 nationwide and visitors can see the car at the event," group managing director, Datuk Syed Zainal Abidin, told reporters here today. The "Power Of 1", to be held from March 14-18 at Bukit Jalil National Stadium, is the company's largest outdoor showcase featuring its technology advancement, engineering achievements, innovation and motorsports success. The event is expected to attract 10,000 visitors per day. -- Bernama http://www.btimes.com.my/Current_News/BTIM...icle/index_html That said, after reading the post about delays with this car's production, I hope it doesn't get overbooked. Else it's gonna be like when the Waja first came out, production could not meet demand, driving the QC down. This post has been edited by dares: Mar 9 2012, 02:09 PM |

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Mar 10 2012, 12:28 PM) this car, saga, exora Yep, that's one of my grudges with the CVT. Got money to mod also no use, unless you replace the GB.u can mod the exterior and interior like no business but u can't do performance mod cuz they're using CVT that specifically match the torque number of the engine they even limited the torque of the engine to put in the VT3 CVT gearbox |

Camaro SS is a good deal for you, I test it awhile back. Very nice exhaust note. QUOTE(biosfree @ Mar 10 2012, 01:07 PM) Well it does come with a turbo, albeit a small one. QUOTE(MR_alien @ Mar 12 2012, 10:50 PM) i see many problems with this article I gather those analysts have to do with the stock market or the financial sector, since the article is from an investment website.1. analyst?...what analyst?... 2. "better known as persona replacement?...proton already say its NOT a persona replacement 3. "targeting medium to high income group"?....waja/inspira/perdana is the one targetting high income group...proton never target high income group yet...more to low-medium income group |

QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Mar 14 2012, 01:51 AM) There's a demo of assembling parts of the P3-21a at the show, just like the stint they pulled for the Saga BLM launch at Mutiara Damansara many years ago. There are mentions of engineering showcase of some sort in the schedule, I don't know it's related to the P321a.Shet. Enough of the teasing, just show us the god damn car already. QUOTE(MR_alien @ Mar 15 2012, 12:31 AM) they use smaller displacement The CFE has a shorter stroke (86mm, as oppose to the 1.6 IAFM+ 88mm), resulting in a slightly smaller displacement. but forgot why...last time stated somewhere here in this section be4 it was when exora bold launched This was done to reduce the compression ratio to 8.9:1 from 10:1, so that it may accomodate lower RON grade petrol from other countries. EDIT: Ah, kampung2005 beat me to it. This post has been edited by dares: Mar 15 2012, 12:41 AM |

QUOTE(JC999 @ Mar 15 2012, 10:35 AM) Do you know that for a fact? None of the Exora Bold CFE owners have complained about high FC, some even say it's pretty good. The IAFM+ variant I'm more doubtful, since it will likely be underpowered, hence might actually consume more fuel and CFE. Added on March 15, 2012, 10:51 am QUOTE(muslayer @ Mar 15 2012, 10:49 AM) Of course lor.But I dunno this is tentative pricing or final pricing. Won't be surprised if it is final. Last time I enquire about the FLX SE pricing before it was launch, he also gave it to me quite early. This post has been edited by dares: Mar 15 2012, 10:51 AM |
